Liu, Jiangtao; Chen, Guofei; Fang, Xingzhong published the artcile< Synthesis and characterization of high performance poly(thioether imide)s via aromatic nucleophilic substitution reaction of isomeric AB-type monomers>, HPLC of Formula: 118-45-6, the main research area is polyimide polythioether synthesis property.

A series of isomeric poly(thioether imide)s (PTIs) containing thioether linkages were prepared by aromatic nucleophilic substitution reaction of isomeric N-(4-mercaptophenyl)-3-chlorophthalimide and/or N-(4-mercaptophenyl)-4-chlorophthalimide. The inherent viscosities of these polymers were in the range of 0.38-0.42 dL/g. The glass transition temperature increased with increasing the content of 3-substituted phthalimide unit in the polymer backbone. The 5 % weight loss temperatures of isomeric PTIs (a-e) were 506-531° in nitrogen and 509-536° in air, resp. The isomeric PTIs (b-d) films exhibited good mech. properties with tensile strength of about 90 MPa, elongation at break of more than 6.0 %, and tensile moduli of more than 2.2 GPa. The storage moduli of PTIs (b-d) almost completely maintained at about 2.0 GPa before reaching the corresponding glass transition temperatures It is noted that the min. melt viscosity of these polymers decreased with increasing the content of unsym. 3- and 4-substituted phthalimide unit.

Das, Agnideep; Schleinitz, Jules; Karmazin, Lydia; Vincent, Bruno; Le Breton, Nolwenn; Rogez, Guillaume; Guenet, Aurelie; Choua, Sylvie; Grimaud, Laurence; Desage-El Murr, Marine published the artcile< A Single Bioinspired Hexameric Nickel Catechol-Alloxazine Catalyst Combines Metal and Radical Mechanisms for Alkene Hydrosilylation>, HPLC of Formula: 27841-33-4, the main research area is hexameric nickel catechol alloxazine complex preparation hydrosilylation alkene catalyst; crystal structure mol hexameric nickel catechol alloxazine complex preparation; radical mechanism alkene hydrosilylation hexanickel catechol alloxazine catalyst safety; alloxazine; chain walking; nickel catalysis; radical chemistry; redox-active ligands.

Mechanisms combining organic radicals and metallic intermediates hold strong potential in homogeneous catalysis. Such activation modes require careful optimization of two interconnected processes: one for the generation of radicals and one for their productive integration towards the final product. We report that a bioinspired polymetallic nickel complex can combine ligand- and metal-centered reactivities to perform fast hydrosilylation of alkenes under mild conditions through an unusual dual radical- and metal-based mechanism. This earth-abundant polymetallic complex incorporating a catechol-alloxazine motif as redox-active ligand operates at low catalyst loading (0.25 mol%) and generates silyl radicals and a nickel-hydride intermediate through a hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) step. Evidence of an isomerization sequence enabling terminal hydrosilylation of internal alkenes points towards the involvement of the nickel-hydride species in chain walking. This single catalyst promotes a hybrid pathway by combining synergistically ligand and metal participation in both inner- and outer- sphere processes.

Emokpae, Thomas A.; Eguavuen, Osa; Hirst, Jack published the artcile< The kinetics of the reactions of picryl chloride, with some substituted anilines. Part 5>, Synthetic Route of 29027-20-1, the main research area is picryl chloride substitution aniline kinetics; substituent effect aniline substitution; additivity aniline substitution picryl.

Arrhenius parameters were determined for the reactions of picryl chloride in MeCN with 3,5-RR1C6H3NH2 [R = H2N, Me, R1 = H; R = H2N, R1 = O2N (I); R = F, R1 = MeSO2; R = NO2, OMe, Me, F, Cl, Br, iodo, R1 = Me; R = R1 = F, Cl, Br, iodo]. A total of 33 3,5-disubstituted anilines was examined for the additivity of substituent effects on the free energy of activation, and, with the exception of I, this hypothesis reproduces exptl. rate constants within a factor of 2. A rationalization is proposed for the deviations that occur in some cases when more stringent criteria of additivity are used.

Kim, Taehyung’s team published research in RSC Advances in 2019 | 1592-20-7

RSC Advances published new progress about Glass transition temperature. 1592-20-7 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C9H9Cl, Application In Synthesis of 1592-20-7.

Kim, Taehyung; Ju, Changha; Park, Chanhyuk; Kang, Hyo published the artcile< Enhanced, parallel liquid crystal alignment based on polystyrene substituted with phthalimidoyl groups>, Application In Synthesis of 1592-20-7, the main research area is phthalimidoyl group polystyrene liquid crystal alignment.

A series of polystyrene (PS) polymers substituted with phthalimide (PPH#), where # is the degree of substitution, were synthesized via a polymer analogus reaction to investigate liquid crystal (LC) alignment behaviors of LC cells fabricated using PPH# films. The PPH# films exhibited higher optical transparency in the visible light region compared to a com. polyimide (PI) film. The transmittance of each PPH# film ranged from 91 to 93%, whereas that of PI was 80.5% at 550 nm. The LC cell fabricated with a pristine PS film showed planar LC alignment perpendicular with respect to the rubbing direction. The introduction of the phthalimide group to the side chain of PS diverted the LC alignment direction from perpendicular to parallel with respect to the rubbing direction. The LC cells fabricated with PPH# films exhibited planar LC alignment parallel with respect to the rubbing direction when the degree of substitution of phthalimidoyl moieties was >20 mol%. In addition, the long-term stability of the LC cell composed of pristine PS was very low. However, the long-term stability of the LC cells fabricated with the PPH# series was remarkably enhanced in addition to their UV stability. Therefore, this study contributes to the development of planar and parallel LC alignments on PS derivatives and can be used in the next-generation display industry for the production of flexible displays.

Su, Shijun; Chen, Mei; Li, Qin; Wang, Yihui; Chen, Shuai; Sun, Nan; Xie, Chengwei; Huai, Ziyou; Huang, Yinjiu; Xue, Wei published the artcile< Novel penta-1,4-diene-3-one derivatives containing quinazoline and oxime ether fragments: Design, synthesis and bioactivity>, Reference of 611-19-8, the main research area is quinazolinyl pentadieneone oxime ether preparation diastereoselective antitumor SAR drug; Anticancer; Oxime ether; Penta-1, 4-diene-3-one; Quinazoline; SMMC-7721 cells.

A series of novel penta-1,4-diene-3-one derivatives I [R = H, [(2,4-dichlorophenyl)methyl]oxidanyl, [(2-chlorophenyl)methyl]oxidanyl, [(4-chlorophenyl)methyl]oxidanyl, [(2-fluorophenyl)methyl]oxidanyl; R1 = thiophen-2-yl, pyridin-2-yl; R2 = H, [(2-fluorophenyl)methyl]oxidanyl, [(2,4-dichlorophenyl)methyl]oxidanyl, [(3-methylphenyl)methyl]oxidanyl, etc.; R3 = H, 6-Cl, 8-Me] containing quinazoline and oxime ether moieties were designed and synthesized. Their anticancer activities were evaluated by MTT assay, and the results showed that most compounds exhibited extremely inhibitory effects against hepatoma SMMC-7721 cells. In particular, compounds I [R = R3 = H; R1 = pyridin-2-yl; R2 = [(3-methylphenyl)methyl]oxidanyl] (II) and I [R = H; R1 = pyridin-2-yl; R2 = [(4-chlorophenyl)methyl]oxidanyl; R3 = 6-Cl] (III) displayed the more potent inhibitory activity with IC50 values of 0.64 and 0.63μM, which were better than that of gemcitabine (1.40μM). Further mechanism studies indicated that compounds II, III, I [R = [(2,4-dichlorophenyl)methyl]oxidanyl; R1 = pyridin-2-yl; R2 = R3 = H] and I [R = [(2,4-dichlorophenyl)methyl]oxidanyl; R1 = pyridin-2-yl; R2 = H; R3 = 6-Cl] could control the migration of SMMC-7721 cells effectively, and inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells by inhibiting the DNA replication. Western-blot results showed that compounds II and III induced irreversible apoptosis of SMMC-7721 cells by regulating the expression level of apoptose-related proteins. Those studies demonstrated that the penta-1,4-diene-3-one derivatives I containing quinazoline and oxime ether fragments merited further research as potential anticancer agents.

Moon, Jihyeon’s team published research in Polymers (Basel, Switzerland) in 2021 | 1592-20-7

Polymers (Basel, Switzerland) published new progress about Contact angle (water, diiodomethane). 1592-20-7 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C9H9Cl, Formula: C9H9Cl.

Moon, Jihyeon; Seo, Kyutae; Kang, Hyo published the artcile< Vertical alignment of liquid crystals on comb-like renewable chavicol-modified polystyrene>, Formula: C9H9Cl, the main research area is vertical alignment liquid crystal chavicol polystyrene copolymer; alignment; chavicol; liquid crystal; phytochemical; renewable.

This study demonstrates liquid crystal (LC) alignment behaviors on the surface of phytochem.-based and renewable chavicol-modified polystyrene (PCHA#, # = 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100, where # represent the molar content of chavicol moiety in the side group) via polymer modification reactions. Generally, a LC cell fabricated with a polymer film containing a high molar content of the chavicol side group exhibited a vertical LC alignment property. There is a correlation between the vertical alignment of LC mols. and the polar surface energy value of the polymer films. Therefore, vertical LC alignment was observed when the polar surface energy values of these polymer films were smaller than about 1.3 mJ/m2, induced by the nonpolar chavicol moiety having long and bulky carbon groups. Aligning stability under harsh conditions such as UV irradiation of about 5 J/cm2 was observed in the LC cells fabricated from PCHA 100 film. Therefore, it was found that the plant-based chavicol-substituted polymer system can produce an eco-friendly and sustainable LC alignment layer for next-generation applications.
