Novel spirosuccinimides with incorporated isoindolone and benzisothiazole 1,1-dioxide moieties as aldose reductase inhibitors and antihyperglycemic agents was written by Wrobel, Jay;Dietrich, Arlene;Woolson, Shiela A.;Millen, Jane;McCaleb, Michael;Harrison, Maria C.;Hohman, Thomas C.;Sredy, Janet;Sullivan, Donald. And the article was included in Journal of Medicinal Chemistry in 1992.Computed Properties of C8H6ClFO2 This article mentions the following:

Compounds from two novel series of spirosuccinimides were prepared Analogs I (R = alkyl, aralkyl; R1 = H, 4-, 5-, 6-, 7-Cl, 5,6-Cl2, 6-F, 5-Br, 4-, 5-Me, 6-Co2Me, 5,6-benzo, 5-Ph, 5-MeO, 5-MeS, 6-O2N) possessed a spiro-fused isoindolone moiety while analogs II (R = alkyl, aralkyl) contained a spiro-fused benzisothiazole S,S-dioxide group. I and II were evaluated as aldose reductase inhibitors (ARI) in vitro by their ability to inhibit glyceraldehyde reduction using a partially purified bovine lens aldose reductase preparation and in vivo as inhibitors of galactitol accumulation in the lens, sciatic nerve, and diaphragm of galactose-fed rats. Many members from the isoindolone series I, particularly those with R = Me, showed good in vitro and in vivo potency. The most potent member, I (R = Me, R1 = 6-Cl) (III), was resolved, and aldose reductase activity was found to reside almost exclusively in the (+)-enantiomer. III was approx. equipotent in the sciatic nerve of the galactose-fed rat to other cyclic imide ARI’s of similar in vitro activity, namely sorbinil and ADN-138 and also to tolrestat, an acetic acid-based ARI (ED50 = 4-8 mg/kg). Compounds from both series I and II also lower plasma glucose levels of genetically obese db/db and ob/ob mice with potency similar to that of ciglitazone. However, members from these series failed to lower insulin levels of the ob/ob mouse at the doses tested. Line ferries and cargo ships for the monitoring of marine contaminants of emerging concern: Application along a Europe-Arctic transect was written by Brumovsky, Miroslav;Becanova, Jitka;Sanka, Ondrej;Loeken, Katharina Bjarnar;Baho, Didier L.;Soerensen, Kai;Nizzetto, Luca. And the article was included in Journal of Hazardous Materials in 2022.Recommanded Product: 101-20-2 This article mentions the following:

Contaminants of emerging concern (CEC) are a focus in marine protection. Several CECs are released with wastewater effluents to coastal environments and their offshore occurrence has been recently documented. Routine monitoring is key for implementing marine protection acts, however infrastructural, financial, and tech. limitations hinder this task along broad spatial transects. Here we show the efficacy of a new infrastructure enabling unmanned sampling of surface water from ships of opportunity in providing reliable and cost-effective routine monitoring of CECs along a Europe-Arctic transect. The distribution and long-range transport of several pharmaceuticals and personal care products, artificial food additives, and stimulants were assessed. Validation of operations through strict procedural and anal. quality criteria is presented. A framework to estimate a compound-specific spatial range (SR) index of marine long-range transport based on monitoring results and information on source spatial distribution, is introduced. Estimated SR values ranged 50-350 km depending on compound, yielding a ranking of long-range transport potential which reflected expectations based on degradation half-lives. SR values were used to calculate prior maps of detection probability that can be used to plan future routine monitoring in the region. Phenylalanine stabilized copper nanoclusters for specific destruction of Congo red and bacteria in aqueous solution was written by Wang, Yong;Tan, Yiyun;Ding, Yue;Fu, Lixian;Qing, Weixia. And the article was included in Colloids and Surfaces, A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects in 2022.Recommanded Product: 3,7-Bis(dimethylamino)phenothiazin-5-ium chloride This article mentions the following:

A simple preparation method of phenylalanine stabilized copper nanoclusters (Phe-CuNCs) was reported. The Phe-CuNCs were active for specific destruction of Congo red (CR) in aqueous solution under natural light irradiation, showing fast, efficient and stable catalytic activities. The catalytic reaction followed first-order kinetics equation, and a linear relation of ln (At/A0) vs. time was observed The Phe-CuNCs obtained more electrons to accelerate decolorization of CR in the presence of H2O2. The catalytic efficiency of Phe-CuNCs remained above 70% even after 10 cycles of reactions, showing economy and efficiency. The Phe-CuNCs showed remarkable antibacterial activity against both Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Meanwhile, the bacterial damage was visualized by SEM (SEM). In addition, the Phe-CuNCs are not toxic to normal cells (HL-7702) and tumor cells (HepG2) even at high concentrations, whereas Phe-CuNCs can efficiently kill bacteria. Thus, Phe-CuNCs may be a promising nanomaterial for specific degradation of Congo red in aqueous solution as well as an adjuvant for treatment of microbial infections. Application of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi for pharmaceuticals and personal care productions removal in constructed wetlands with different substrate was written by Hu, Bo;Hu, Shanshan;Vymazal, Jan;Chen, Zhongbing. And the article was included in Journal of Cleaner Production in 2022.Reference of 101-20-2 This article mentions the following:

This study investigated the effects of substrates (sand, perlite, vermiculite, and biochar) on the colonization of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in the roots of Glyceria maxima in constructed wetlands (CWs) and the impacts of AMF inoculation on the removal of six selected pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs). Results showed that the application of adsorptive substrates (perlite, vermiculite, and biochar) in CWs had pos. effects on AMF colonization. AMF could influence the uptake and translocation of PPCPs in plant tissues. The amount of PPCPs in the roots of inoculated plants was increased by 21-193% and 67-196% in sand and vermiculite systems but decreased by 13-55% and 51-100% in perlite and biochar systems, resp., compared to the non-inoculated controls. Meanwhile, AMF enhanced the translocation of PPCPs to plant shoots, resulting in higher accumulations of PPCPs in the shoots of inoculated plants than that of non-inoculated plants. AMF had pos. effects on removing PPCPs in sand systems but insignificant effects in adsorptive substrate systems. Therefore, these results indicated that the symbiotic relationship between AMF and plant roots could affect the accumulation and translocation of PPCPs in plants, and substrate type can influence this function. This study could be a starting point for exploring the potential role of AMF in PPCPs removal in CWs. 1. Biotransformation pathways of the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 6-benzylamino-2-(3-hydroxypropylamino)-9-isopropylpurine (bohemine) by mouse liver microsomes in vitro were investigated. 2. Metabolite profiles of [8-3H]-labeled bohemine were established by TLC/3H-autoradiog. and enzymic and MS analyses were used to elucidate the chem. structures of the metabolites. The structures of the main primary metabolites were confirmed by synthesis of authentic compounds 3. A schema of the primary NADPH-dependent pathways has been proposed involving N2- and N9-dealkylation, N6-debenzylation, aromatic hydroxylation, and C2 side chain oxidation of bohemine. Three of the primary metabolites detected, 6-(benzylamino)-2-(3-hydroxypropylamino)purine (M4), 6-amino-2-(3-hydroxypropylamino)-9-isopropylpurine (M5) and 6-(4-hydroxybenzylamino)-2-(3-hydroxypropylamino)-9-isopropylpurine (M6), all retaining their parent primary hydroxyl group, were subsequently shown to be converted, by a liver cytosolic NAD+-dependent system, into their corresponding carboxylic acids. M6 was subject to microsomal glycosidations requiring UDP-sugar donors. NADPH-dependent conversion of M6 into M5 by microsomes was also demonstrated. 4. Cytochrome P 450 (CYP) enzymes-selective inhibitors were used to identify CYPs involved in bohemine biotransformation. The findings suggested that CYP2A and CYP3A substantially contributed to the NADPH-dependent bohemine transformation in vitro. 5. The findings will facilitate experiments designed to dissect enzymic systems catalyzing clearance of C2,C6,N9-trisubstituted purine compounds from mammalian tissues. The construction of an isoquinoline skeleton typically starts with benzene derivatives as substrates with the assistance of acids or transition metals. Disclosed here is a concise approach to prepare isoquinoline analogs by starting with pyridines to react with β-ethoxy α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds under basic conditions. Multiple substitution patterns and a relatively large number of functional groups (including those sensitive to acidic conditions) can be tolerated the method. In particular, protocol allows for efficient access to tricyclic isoquinolines found in hundreds of natural products with interesting bioactivities. The efficiency and operational simplicity of introducing structural complexity into the isoquinoline frameworks can likely enable the collective synthesis of a large set of natural products. Supported transition-metal catalysts for the C-C coupling reaction between ethene and diazoalkanes was written by Schneider, M. E.;Moehring U.;Werner, H.. And the article was included in Journal of Organometallic Chemistry in 1996.COA of Formula: C8H16Cl2Ir2 This article mentions the following:

The preparation of series of immobilized transition-metal catalyst are reported. The catalysts were obtained by chemisorption either Rh(I) complexes [MX(C2H4)2]n (M = Rh, Ir; X = Cl, OAc, acac, f3-acac, f6-acac) on SiO2 or MgO supports. The oxides were also activated by SiCl4 or TiCl4 to give support materials in which the acidic nature of the surface is substantially increased. The activity of the immobilized catalysts was tested, particularly in the reaction of ethene with diphenyldiazomethane which yields a mixture of 1,1-diphenylpropene (8) and 1,1-diphenylcyclopropane (9). The most active and most selective (highest ratio 8:9) catalyst B1 was formed from support material B (SiO2 activated by SiCl4) and [RhCl(C2H4)2]2 (1) and both the activity and selectivity of B1 was comparable with that of complex 1 in solution In contrast, the supported catalysts A2, D2 and A3, D3 obtained from [Rh(OAc)(C2H4)2]2 (2) and [Rh(acac)(C2H4)2] (3) and silica (A) and MgO (D) were less active than compounds 2 and 3 in solution The immobilized catalysts A6, A7, D7 and E7, which were generated from the chloro- and acetatoiridium(I) complexes [IrCl(C2H4)2]2 (6) and [Ir(OAc)(C2H4)2]2 (7), possessed a lower activity than the Rh counterparts. Although pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) have attracted great attentions, their occurrence characteristics across different water bodies at a basin scale remain poorly understood. To grasp a more comprehensive understanding of PPCP pollution from the perspective of the whole basin, the occurrence, spatial and seasonal variation, source, and flux of thirteen PPCPs across the different environmental compartments of the northern Taihu Lake Basin (TLB) were studied. The results showed that the non-therapeutic pharmaceuticals caffeine (CFI) and n, n-diethyl-m-toluamide (DEET) were the main components across the different environmental compartments. The total concentrations of detected PPCPs ranged from 0.2 to 2437.9 ng/L. Higher concentrations of PPCPs were observed in spring and autumn, which were mainly attributed to seasonal differences in PPCP consumption. Generally, pollution level was higher in industry and agriculture area and in the inner bay and southwest of Taihu Lake. Source apportionment indicated that untreated water was the main source of PPCPs in river waters of the northern TLB. Flux estimation showed that the mean annual flux of PPCPs from northern TLB to Taihu Lake in 2021 was 1.6 t/a, which was higher in comparison with other areas. Overall, the resulting data will be useful to enrich the research of PPCPs in freshwater for environmental investigations.
