Ruel, Odile published the artcilePreparation and thermal properties of N-alkylideneethenesulfenamides, Computed Properties of 1002-41-1, the publication is Synthetic Communications (1990), 20(14), 2151-64, database is CAplus.
Reaction of ClCH2CH2SSO2C6H4Me-4 with LiN(SiMe3)2 in THF followed by hydrolysis afforded 78% N,N-bis(trimethylsilyl)ethenesulfenamide CH2:CHSN(SiMe3)2 (I). Reaction of R1COR2 [R1 = Ph, hexyl, R2 = H; R1 = R2 = Pr; R1 = Ph, R2 = Me; R1R2 = (CH2)5, (CH2)6, (CH2)2CHCMe(CH2)2] with I in the presence of Bu4NF gave N-alkylideneethenesulfenamides R1CR2:NSCH:CH2 (II) in 40-81% yields. Heating II [R1R2 = (CH2)5; R1 = Ph, R2 = Me] in 1,2-diethoxyethane gave 40-60% pyrroles III.
Synthetic Communications published new progress about 1002-41-1. 1002-41-1 belongs to chlorides-buliding-blocks, auxiliary class Aliphatic Chain, name is 1,2-Bis(2-chloroethyl)disulfane, and the molecular formula is C4H8Cl2S2, Computed Properties of 1002-41-1.
