The filtrate was concentrated in vacuo and the residue was purified by column chromatography eluting with 30% ethyl acetate in hexanes to afford /V-(2,4-dimethoxybenzyl)-2,4,5-trifluoro-/v’-(1 ,3,4- thiadiazol-2-yl)benzenesulfonamide in 57% yield (1.10 g) as a colorless solid: MS (ES+) m/z 446.0 (M + 1).
