European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry published new progress about Buchwald-Hartwig reaction. 17082-09-6 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C9H7ClO, Safety of (E)-Cinnamoyl chloride.

Walby, Grant D.; Martin, Stephen F. published the artcile< Preparation of novel analogs of 2-arylpiperidines and evaluation of their sigma receptor binding affinities>, Safety of (E)-Cinnamoyl chloride, the main research area is arylpiperidine preparation mol docking sigma receptor binding affinity; Binding affinities and selectivities; Computational docking; Scaffold simplification; Sigma receptors; Synthesis.

A number of substituted norbenzomorphans was previously identified as high affinity ligands for the two known sigma receptors σ1R and σ2R/TMEM97, and some norbenzomorphans that were selective for σ2R/TMEM97 exhibited promise in animal models of several neurol. disorders. Toward further assessing the effects of simplifying the norbenzomorphan scaffold, sets of 6-membered heterocycles were designed and prepared, and their binding affinities for σ1R and σ2R/TMEM97 were determined Consistent with the design strategy, N-acyl-2-arylpiperidines showed high affinity for σ2R/TMEM97, whereas those derived from morpholine and N-methylpiperazine had lower affinities. However, most of these 6-membered heterocycles unexpectedly exhibited even higher affinity for σ1R and were thus σ1R-selective. Computational docking studies showed that representative 6-membered heterocycles bind and interact with σ2R/TMEM97 in a manner similar to that of a docked structure of their norbenzomorphan parent. Collectively, these binding and computational studies supported our design strategy for developing simplified analogs of norbenzomorphans as σ2R/TMEM97 ligands, but they also underscore the challenges associated with developing selective modulators of σ2R/TMEM97.

Liquid Crystals published new progress about Anisotropy. 17082-09-6 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C9H7ClO, Formula: C9H7ClO.

Yu, Hailin; Zhu, Gang; Wang, Yinghan published the artcile< Preparation of polyimide alignment films with high photosensitivity and low solid content>, Formula: C9H7ClO, the main research area is polyimide alignment film photosensitivity liquid crystal display.

In order to reduce the cost, a polyimide (BF-CA) with high photosensitivity and low solid content was prepared by one-step method using 2,2-bis (3-amino-4-hydroxyphenyl) propane (BAP), 4,4′- (hexafluoroisopropyl) phthalic anhydride (6FDA) as monomer and cinnamoyl chloride as photosensitive group. The BF-CA films exhibit good alignment performance after non-polarised UV light (NPUVL) irradiation for 20 min. Meanwhile, the effect of solid content on the alignment performance is mainly discussed, because reducing solid content helps to reduce costs. In addition, the BF-CA shows good thermal stability. The pretilt angle of the liquid crystal cells is 0.5°, which meet the requirements of practical application in In-Plane Switching liquid crystal display.

Markezich, R. L.; Zamek, O. S.; Donahue, P. E.; Williams, F. J. published the artcile< Reactions of 4-nitrophthalic anhydride with potassium fluoride and potassium nitrite>, Quality Control of 118-45-6, the main research area is nitrophthalic anhydride substitution fluoride; fluorophthalic anhydride preparation; phthalic anhydride reaction nitrite.

The reaction of potassium fluoride with 4-nitrophthalic anhydride gave good yields of 4-fluorophthalic anhydride; the reaction was run neat at 210-240° in an aprotic solvent at a lower temperature, or in refluxing acetonitrile containing a crown ether. The potassium nitrite produced in the exchange reaction was captured by unreacted 4-nitrophthalic anhydride to give the dipotassium salt of 4-nitrophthalic acid and nitrogen oxides. The reaction of potassium nitrite with several other substituted phthalic anhydrides in DMF yielded the dipotassium salts of the resp. phthalic acids.

Regioselective N-arylbenzimidazole was prepared via cascade intermol. amination and amidation reactions of 2-chloroaryl sulfonates (or halides). A single catalyst, based on iBuBrettPhos, is able to selectively perform both catalytic elements of this process for a broad range of arylamine (or heteroarylamine), amide, and bifunctional electrophile substrates to afford the corresponding benzimidazole products with complete regioselectivity. Moreover, it was demonstrated that different 2-chloroaryl sulfonates (triflate vs. mesylate), which are derived from the same chlorophenols, can be reacted under very similar reaction conditions to exclusively afford the opposite regioisomeric heterocycles.

Wang, Zhi; Zhuang, Xinming; Chen, Yao; Wang, Binghao; Yu, Junsheng; Huang, Wei; Marks, Tobin J.; Facchetti, Antonio published the artcile< Cinnamate-Functionalized Natural Carbohydrates as Photopatternable Gate Dielectrics for Organic Transistors>, COA of Formula: C9H7ClO, the main research area is cinnamate functionalized natural carbohydrate photopatternable gate dielec organic transistor.

Photolithog.-defined films play an important role in modern optoelectronics and are crucial for the development of advanced organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). Here, we explore a facile photoresist-free photopatterning technique with natural carbohydrates and its use as an OTFT gate dielec. The effects of the cross-linkable chem. structure on the crosslinking chem. and dielec. strength of the corresponding films are investigated in cinnamate-functionalized carbohydrates from monomeric (glucose) to dimeric (sucrose) to polymeric (cellulose) backbones. UV illumination of the cinnamate esters of these carbohydrates leads to [2 + 2] cycloaddition and thus the formation of robust cross-linked dielec. films in the irradiated areas. Using propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate as the solvent/developer, patterned dielec. films with micrometer-sized features can be readily fabricated. P- and N-type OTFTs are successfully demonstrated using unpatterned/patterned cross-linked films as the gate dielec. and pentacene and N,N’-1H,1H-perfluorobutyl dicyanoperylenecarboxydiimide (PDIF-CN2) as the p- and n-channel semiconducting layers, resp. These results demonstrate that natural-derived polymer gate dielecs., which are soluble and patternable using biomass-derived solvents, are promising for the realization of a more sustainable OTFT technol.

Meng, Qing-Yuan; Doeben, Nadine; Studer, Armido published the artcile< Cooperative NHC and Photoredox Catalysis for the Synthesis of β-Trifluoromethylated Alkyl Aryl Ketones>, Electric Literature of 1592-20-7, the main research area is trifluoromethyl alkyl aryl ketone preparation; cooperative photoredox catalyzed trifluoromethylation styrene acid fluoride; NHC catalysis; trifluoromethylation; visible light catalysis.

Despite the great potential of radical chem. in organic synthesis, N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-catalyzed reactions involving radical intermediates are not well explored. This communication reports the three-component coupling of aroyl fluorides, styrenes and the Langlois reagent (CF3SO2Na) to give various β-trifluoromethylated alkyl aryl ketones with good functional group tolerance in moderate to high yields by cooperative photoredox/NHC catalysis. The alkene acyltrifluoromethylation proceeds via radical/radical cross coupling of ketyl radicals with benzylic C-radicals. The ketyl radicals are generated via SET reduction of in situ formed acylazolium ions whereas the benzylic radicals derive from trifluoromethyl radical addition onto styrenes.

Pyrolysis of phthalic anhydride or o-sulfobenzoic anhydride at 700-1100°/0.1-10 mm. produces benzyne, as shown by the formation of biphenylene (I) and triphenylene. Biphenylene and several polychloro and polymethyl derivatives were conveniently synthesized by pyrolysis of the corresponding phthalic anhydrides in 3-26% yields. These reactions afford further examples of the parallel between the pyrolytic and mass spectral fragmentations of certain aromatic carbonyl compounds The yield of biphenylene obtained by pyrolysis of compounds structurally related to phthalic anhydride can be correlated with the instability of the corresponding mol. ions in the mass spectrometer.

Li, Yuqing’s team published research in ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces in 2020-11-11 | 118-45-6

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces published new progress about Band gap. 118-45-6 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H3ClO3, Related Products of 118-45-6.

Li, Yuqing; Meng, Huifeng; Huang, Jianhua; Zhan, Chuanlang published the artcile< Analysis of effects of substituent number on device performance through structural cutting of non-fullerene acceptors by chlorination>, Related Products of 118-45-6, the main research area is chlorination organic solar cell crystallinity external quantum efficiency; fullerene-free; halogenation; polymer solar cell; small-molecule acceptor; structural cutting.

Effects of chlorination on photovoltaic performance of organic solar cells are yet largely unclear though it is emerging as a special yet effective strategy to design highly efficient non-fullerene acceptors (NFAs). Herein, a bi-chlorine-substituted NFA with regioregularity, namely, bichlorinated dithienothiophen[3.2-b]- pyrrolobenzothiadiazole (BTP-2Cl-δ), is synthesized and compared to the non-chlorinated BTP and tetra-chlorine-substituted BTP-4Cl to study the effects of Cl number on the photovoltaic performance. From BTP to BTP-2Cl-δ and BTP-4Cl, the three mols. show gradually red-shifted absorption peaks, narrowed band gaps, and lowered highest occupied MOs (HOMOs) and lowest unoccupied MOs (LUMOs). Polymer solar cells are fabricated using PM6 as the donor and the three small mols. as the acceptors. From BTP to BTP-2Cl-δ, efficiencies (8.8 vs 15.4%) are significantly enhanced due to the better film morphol. and strong crystallization of the BTP-2Cl-δ-based device, giving rise to boosted fill factors (FFs) and short-circuit current densities (JSC’s). From BTP-2Cl-δ to BTP-4Cl, although JSC’s (24.3 vs 25.0 mA cm-2) are slightly elevated due to the higher crystallinity of BTP-4Cl, leading to improved exciton dissociation and collection efficiencies, FFs (71.1 vs 68.0%) are obviously decreased owing to the unfavorable film morphol., unbalanced hole-electron mobilities, and higher charge recombination in BTP-4Cl-based devices. As such, the efficiency of the BTP-2Cl-δ-based device (15.4%) is superior to that of the BTP-4Cl-based device (14.5%). This work elucidates a design strategy by cutting the numbers of substituent chlorine to obtain desired energy levels and crystallization with optimal performance.
