We reveal that only a specific binary-component molten salt, KCl/SrCl2, provides highly crystalline and plate-like SrBi3O4Cl3 particles with a pure phase, whereas the others fail. This specificity of KCl/SrCl2 is due to the appropriate ionic radius of K+ and the specific phase diagram of KCl/SrCl2, both of which are associated with the intercalation of metal cations into the vdW layers during the flux synthesis. With an increase in the calcination temperature from 873 to 973 K, the flux synthesis enhances the crystallinity of the SrBi3O4Cl3 particles with suppressed Cl defect formation, whereas the conventional solid-state reaction (SSR) synthesis significantly increases the amount of Cl defects because of volatilization. Therefore, the nanoplate-like particles obtained by the flux method have relatively high crystallinity, thereby exhibiting considerably better charge carrier dynamics and higher photocatalytic activity than those obtained by SSR. Bovine parainfluenza virus type 3 (BPIV3) is one of the most important viral respiratory pathogens of cattle. No specific therapies are available for BPIV3 infection; vaccination is one of the most effective ways to prevent BPIV3 infection. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced mouse model and A549 cell model were used to simulate septic lung injury. Haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining was used to observe the pathol. changes. The terminal-deoxynucleotidyl transferase/(TdT)-mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling (TUNEL) staining and flow cytometry were used to detect apoptosis. The levels of inflammatory factors in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) were determined by ELISA (ELISA). In LPS-induced sepsis mice, GAB1 expression was markedly reduced, and GAB1 overexpression significantly attenuated cell apoptosis and decreased levels of macrophages, neutrophils, and inflammatory factors in the BALF. Our results also demonstrated that GAB1 overexpression significantly reduced LPS-induced apoptosis and inflammation of A549 cells. More importantly, GAB1 overexpression significantly inhibited the Toll-like receptor/ NFkappaB (TLR4/NF-κB) pathway, while silencing GAB1 significantly activated the TLR4/NF-κB pathway and induced apoptosis and increased expression of inflammatory factors. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) a typical volatile, produced during enzymic hydrolysis is considered as a reliable marker for evaluating meat freshness. Herein, a novel nano-bionic sensor based on the superior catalytic activity of ruthenium nanoparticles (Ru NPs) has been fabricated for H2S quantification. The activity sites of Ru NPs were poisoned in the presence of H2S, thereby affecting its catalytic efficiency via reducing the degradation of azo dye. The developed nano-bionic sensor achieved a selective response toward H2S, with capability for on-site surveillance of the pork freshness in the linear range (0-1800 nM). A higher correlation was obtained between the H2S content and the total viable count during the 9-period pork spoilage process (R2 = 0.9633 and 0.9769). Moreover, the proposed method exhibits high selectivity in the presence of other characteristic volatiles encountered during the pork storage process.
