Journal of the American Chemical Society published new progress about Ethylation catalysts. 19995-38-1 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C6H7ClS, COA of Formula: C6H7ClS.

Heck, Richard F. published the artcile< Aromatic haloethylation with palladium and copper halides>, COA of Formula: C6H7ClS, the main research area is aromatic haloethylation palladium halide; palladium halide aromatic haloethylation; haloethylation aromatic copper halide; copper halide aromatic haloethylation.

Aryl derivatives of Group VIII metal compounds, prepared from Group VIII metal salts and mercury, tin, or lead aryls, react with olefins in the presence of cupric halides to form 2-arylethyl halides. Chlorides are formed in higher yields than bromides. The most generally useful and readily obtainable reactants were arylmercuric halides, with lithium palladium chloride as the Group VIII metal compound Since only catalytic amounts of the palladium salt are required, this reaction provides a convenient method for introducing 2-haloethyl group into aromatic systems.

Stoyanova-Slavova, Iva B’s team published research in Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry in 2014-06-30 | 3964-57-6

Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry published new progress about Acute toxicity. 3964-57-6 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H7ClO3, Electric Literature of 3964-57-6.

Stoyanova-Slavova, Iva B.; Slavov, Svetoslav H.; Pearce, Bruce; Buzatu, Dan A.; Beger, Richard D.; Wilkes, Jon G. published the artcile< Partial least square and k-nearest neighbor algorithms for improved 3D quantitative spectral data-activity relationship consensus modeling of acute toxicity>, Electric Literature of 3964-57-6, the main research area is acute toxicity modeling QSDAR; 3D quantitative spectral data-activity relationship (QSDAR); Aquatic toxicology; Computational toxicology; Consensus modeling; Multivariate statistic.

A diverse set of 154 chems. that included US Food and Drug Administration-regulated compounds tested for their aquatic toxicity in Daphnia magna were modeled by a 3-dimensional quant. spectral data-activity relationship (3D-QSDAR). Two distinct algorithms, partial least squares (PLS) and Tanimoto similarity-based k-nearest neighbors (KNN), were used to process bin occupancy descriptor matrixes obtained after tessellation of the 3D-QSDAR space into regularly sized bins. The performance of models utilizing bins ranging in size from 2 ppm × 2 ppm × 0.5 Å to 20 ppm × 20 ppm × 2.5 Å was explored. Rigorous quality-control criteria were imposed: 100 randomized 20% hold-out test sets were generated and the average R2test of the resp. models was used as a measure of their performance, and a Y-scrambling procedure was used to identify chance correlations. A consensus between the best-performing composite PLS model using 0.5 Å × 14 ppm × 14 ppm bins and 10 latent variables (average R2test = 0.770) and the best composite KNN model using 0.5 Å × 8 ppm × 8 ppm and 2 neighbors (average R2test = 0.801) offered an improvement of about 7.5% (R2test consensus = 0.845). Projection of the most frequently occurring bins on the standard coordinate space indicated that the presence of a primary or secondary amino group-substituted aromatic systems-would result in an increased toxic effect in Daphnia. The presence of a second aromatic ring with highly electroneg. substituents 5 Å to 7 Å apart from the first ring would lead to a further increase in toxicity. Environ Toxicol Chem 2014;33:1271-1282.

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry published new progress about Antibacterial agents. 16799-05-6 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H8BrCl, Formula: C8H8BrCl.

Nguyen, Son T.; Kwasny, Steven M.; Ding, Xiaoyuan; Cardinale, Steven C.; McCarthy, Courtney T.; Kim, Hong-Suk; Nikaido, Hiroshi; Peet, Norton P.; Williams, John D.; Bowlin, Terry L.; Opperman, Timothy J. published the artcile< Structure-activity relationships of a novel pyranopyridine series of Gram-negative bacterial efflux pump inhibitors>, Formula: C8H8BrCl, the main research area is pyranopyridine antibacterial efflux pump inhibitor pharmacokinetics; Adjunctive therapy; Antibacterial; Efflux pump inhibitor; Enterobacteriaceae; Pyranopyridine.

Recently the authors described a novel pyranopyridine inhibitor (MBX2319) of RND-type efflux pumps of the Enterobacteriaceae. MBX2319 (3,3-dimethyl-5-cyano-8-morpholino-6-(phenethylthio)-3,4-dihydro-1H-pyrano[3,4-c]pyridine) is structurally distinct from other known Gram-neg. efflux pump inhibitors (EPIs), such as 1-(1-naphthylmethyl)-piperazine (NMP), phenylalanylarginine-β-naphthylamide (PAβN), D13-9001, and the pyridopyrimidine derivatives Here, the authors report the synthesis and biol. evaluation of 60 new analogs of MBX2319 that were designed to probe the structure activity relationships (SARs) of the pyranopyridine scaffold. The results of these studies produced a mol. activity map of the scaffold, which identifies regions that are critical to efflux inhibitory activities and those that can be modified to improve potency, metabolic stability and solubility Several compounds are significantly more effective than MBX2319 at potentiating the antibacterial activity of levofloxacin and piperacillin against Escherichia coli.
