Waste heat recovery of two solar-driven supercritical CO2 Brayton cycles: Exergoeconomic analysis, comparative study, and monthly performance was written by Khan, M. And the article was included in Applied Thermal Engineering in 2022.COA of Formula: ClLi The following contents are mentioned in the article:

The waste heat from a supercritical Brayton cycle has a great potential to be recovered. However, there is a lack of research regarding the utilization of these cycles in multi-generation systems. In addition, different multi-generation systems based on supercritical Brayton cycles have not been compared in the literature. In the present study, two multi-generation configurations based on two supercritical Brayton cycles, namely regenerative (configuration 1) and recompression (configuration 2), are proposed and compared from thermodn. and exergoeconomic standpoints. In both configurations, an organic Rankine cycle, a domestic hot water heat exchanger, and an LiCl-H2O absorption refrigeration system are employed to convert the waste heat of the two supercritical Brayton cycles into useful energy. Meanwhile, a thermoelec. generator is used instead of a condenser for efficient waste energy recovery of the organic Rankine cycle. The generated electricity by the organic Rankine cycle and thermoelec. generator is used to generate hydrogen in a proton exchange membrane electrolyzer. In addition, a direct integration method is employed to integrate the two supercritical Brayton cycles with a solar power tower as the heat source. The final results regarding the net output power, exergy efficiency, and economic performances of the two configurations reveal the superiority of configuration 2 over configuration 1. Net output power and exergy efficiency of configuration 2 are 6.55 MW and 4.06% points higher than configuration 1. Moreover, total cost rate and unit cost of products for configuration 2 are 0.4 $s-1 and 10.03 $GJ-1 lower than configuration 1. On the other hand, cooling, heating, and hydrogen rates of configuration 1 are resp. 2.93 MW, 4.23 MW, and 2.84 kgh-1 higher than configuration 2. Moreover, the monthly anal. of the two systems for Dhahran city (26.3°N/50.2°E) as a case study indicates that the best thermodn. performance of the systems is achievable in Feb., June, and July. Acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (AECOPD) is the main factor that leads to the deterioration of the disease. Currently, the diagnosis of AECOPD mainly relies on clin. manifestations, good predictors or biomarkers are lacking. We aim to reveal specific biomarkers and potential pathogenesis of AECOPD and provide a research basis for the diagnosis and treatment. Four patients with AECOPD, four patients with stable COPD, and five control subjects were enrolled for RNA sequencing and KEGG anal. The mRNA level of target genes was verified by quant. real-time PCR (qPCR) with an expanded sample size (30 patients with AECOPD, 27 patients with stable COPD, and 35 control subjects). ELISA and immunofluorescence were used to identify the target proteins. Furthermore, the expression and function of WNT/β-catenin signaling pathway were assessed in animal models of COPD. RNA sequencing showed that 54 genes were up-regulated and 111 genes were down-regulated in the AECOPD. Differentially expressed genes were mainly enriched in WNT signaling pathway, et al. QPCR revealed that multi-genes of the WNT/β-catenin signaling were significantly down-regulated in AECOPD (P < 0.05), and β-catenin protein was significantly decreased in plasma of AECOPD and stable COPD (P < 0.01), while phosphorylated β-catenin was significantly up-regulated in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of AECOPD (P < 0.05). Similarly, WNT ligands, WNT receptors, and downstream signaling mols. were down-regulated, with an increased phosphorylated β-catenin protein in animal models of COPD. Activation of WNT/β-catenin signaling pathway by lithium chloride reduced the expression of phosphorylated β-catenin and ameliorated the COPD-like airway inflammation in mice. WNT/β-catenin signaling pathway is down-regulated in AECOPD patients and in animal models of COPD. Increased expression of phosphorylated β-catenin in the blood might be a potential biomarker of AECOPD. Activation of WNT/β-catenin pathway may also represent a therapeutic target for AECOPD. Near-infrared spectra and molar absorption coefficients of trivalent lanthanides dissolved in molten LiCl-KCl eutectic was written by Moon, Jeremy;Chidambaram, Dev. And the article was included in Progress in Nuclear Energy in 2022.Formula: ClLi The following contents are mentioned in the article:

Determining the concentration of the dissolved lanthanide species in LiCl-KCl eutectic salt is important to the development of pyrochem. reprocessing of used nuclear fuel. In this process, lanthanide fission products are found dissolved in the electrorefiner electrolyte in their trivalent oxidation state. The presence of dissolved trivalent lanthanides increases the liquidus temperature of the electrolyte mixture and can lead to the formation of insoluble oxide or oxychloride phases and must therefore be continuously monitored and controlled during the operation. Absorbance spectroscopy is a promising method for continuous measurement of the concentration of lanthanides and other elements dissolved in the electrolyte. The absorption of light by elements is linearly proportional to the concentration of the element for relatively dilute solutions according to the Beer-Lambert law. Although measurement of the absorption of UV and visible range light by lanthanides in LiCl-KCl eutectic molten salt have been explored previously, near IR (NIR) absorption spectroscopy has received far less attention. It may, however, provide a better anal. signal when insoluble phases are present due to less Raleigh scattering compared to shorter wavelength radiation. Addnl., it may allow for concentration determination for certain elements using NIR absorption features where UV and visible range features are overlapping with features from other species. In this study, we report the UV-Vis-NIR spectra of the trivalent lanthanide chlorides of neodymium, samarium, and dysprosium in LiCl-KCl eutectic. Molar absorption coefficients are reported for anal. useful absorption maxima, with a focus on the molar absorption coefficients for NIR absorption maxima which have not been reported previously. Addnl., we observe a NIR-range absorption band of Nd3+ which was previously predicted but never exptl. observed We compare the calculated crystal field levels to the newly observed absorbance band and find them to be in good agreement with previous predictions. Effects of Na2SO4 or NaCl on sonochemical degradation of phenolic compounds in an aqueous solution under Ar: Positive and negative effects induced by the presence of salts was written by Uddin, Helal Md.;Nanzai, Ben;Okitsu, Kenji. And the article was included in Ultrasonics Sonochemistry in 2016.Computed Properties of C6H5ClO2 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

Sonochem. degradation of 4-chlorophenol, phenol, catechol and resorcinol was studied under Ar at 200 kHz in the absence and presence of Na2SO4 or NaCl. The rates of sonochem. degradation in the absence of salts decreased in the order 4-chlorophenol > phenol > catechol > resorcinol and this order was in good agreement with the order of log P (partition coefficient) value of each phenolic compound The effects of salts on the rates of sonochem. degradation consisted of no effect or slight neg. or pos. effects. We discussed these unclear results based on two viewpoints: one was based on the changes in pseudo hydrophobicity and/or diffusion behavior of phenolic compounds and the other was based on the changes in solubility of Ar gas. The measured log P value of each phenolic compound slightly increased with increasing salt concentration In addition, the dynamic surface tension for 4-chlorophenol aqueous solution in the absence and presence of Na2SO4 or NaCl suggested that phenolic compounds more easily accumulated at the interface region of bubbles at higher salt concentration These results indicated that the rates of sonochem. degradation should be enhanced by the addition of salts. On the other hand, the calculated Ar gas solubility was confirmed to decrease with increasing salt concentration The yield of H2O2 formed in the presence of Na2SO4 or NaCl decreased with increasing salt concentration These results suggested that sonochem. efficiency decreased with decreasing gas amount in aqueous solution: a neg. effect of salts was observed Because neg. and pos. effects were induced simultaneously, we concluded that the effects of salts on the rates of sonochem. degradation of phenolic compounds became unclear. The products formed from sonochem. degradation of 4-chlorophenol were also characterized by HPLC anal. The formation of phenol and 4-chloro-1,3-dihydroxy benzene was confirmed and these concentrations were affected by the presence of salts. Modulation of kinetic pathways of enzyme-substrate interaction in a microfluidic channel was written by Singh, Priya;Mukherjee, Dipanjan;Singha, Subhankar;Das, Ranjan;Pal, Samir Kumar. And the article was included in Chemistry – A European Journal in 2019.SDS of cas: 122-18-9 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

Enzyme-mediated catalysis is attributed to enzyme-substrate interactions, with models such as “induced fit” and “conformational selection” emphasizing the role of protein conformational transitions. The dynamic nature of the protein structure, thus, plays a crucial role in mol. recognition and substrate binding. As large-scale protein motions are coupled to water motions, hydration dynamics play a key role in protein dynamics, and hence, in enzyme catalysis. Here, microfluidic techniques and time-dependent fluorescence Stokes shift (TDFSS) measurements are employed to elucidate the role of nanoscopic water dynamics in the interaction of an enzyme, α-Chymotrypsin (CHT), with a substrate, Ala-Ala-Phe-7-amido-4-methylcoumarin (AMC) in the cationic reverse micelles of benzylhexadecyldimethylammonium chloride (BHDC/benzene) and anionic reverse micelles of sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate (AOT/benzene). The kinetic pathways unraveled from the microfluidic setup are consistent with the “conformational selection” fit for the interaction of CHT with AMC in the cationic reverse micelles, whereas an “induced fit” mechanism is indicated for the anionic reverse micelles. In the cationic reverse micelles of BHDC, faster hydration dynamics (≈550 ps) aid the pathway of “conformational selection”, whereas in the anionic reverse micelles of AOT, the significantly slower dynamics of hydration (≈1600 ps) facilitate an “induced fit” mechanism for the formation of the final enzyme-substrate complex. The role of water dynamics in dictating the mechanism of enzyme-substrate interaction becomes further manifest in the neutral reverse micelles of Brij-30 and Triton X-100. In the former, the faster water dynamics aid the “conformational selection” pathway, whereas the significantly slower dynamics of water mols. in the latter are conducive to the “induced fit” mechanism in the enzyme-substrate interaction. Thus, nanoscopic water dynamics act as a switch in modulating the pathway of recognition of an enzyme (CHT) by the substrate (AMC) in reverse micelles. New CN-bridged coordination networks of different dimensionality and topol. were obtained through the modification of reaction conditions between [Ni(cyclam)]2+ (cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) and [W(CN)8]4-. The factors determining the reaction pathway are temperature and addition of the LiCl electrolyte. The products include three neg. charged frameworks incorporating Li+ guests: the 1-dimensional Li2[Ni(cyclam)][W(CN)8]·6H2O (1) straight chain, the 1-dimensional Li2[Ni(cyclam)][W(CN)8]·2H2O (2) zigzag chain, and the 2-dimensional Li2[Ni(cyclam)]3[W(CN)8]2·24H2O (3) honeycomb-like network, as well as the 3-dimensional 2-fold interpenetrating [Ni(cyclam)]5[Ni(CN)4][W(CN)8]2·11H2O (4) network and the 1-dimensional [Ni(cyclam)][Ni(CN)4]·2H2O (5) chain, which result from partial decomposition of the starting complexes. Together with the previously characterized 3-dimensional [Ni(cyclam)]2[W(CN)8]·16H2O (6) network, they constitute the largest family of CN-bridged coordination polymers obtained from the same pair of building blocks. All compounds exhibit paramagnetic behavior because of the separation of paramagnetic Ni(II) centers through the diamagnetic polycyanidometallates. However, the presence of the photomagnetically active octacyanidotungstate(IV) ions allowed observation of the magnetic superexchange after the violet light excitation (405 nm) for 3, which is the 1st example of the photomagnetic effect in a NiII-[WIV(CN)8] system. A series of 11 compounds, including alkali (Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs) and alk.-earth (Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba) coordination polymers, transition-metal (Cu, Cd) complexes, and the ammonium salt of 3,5-dimethylpyrazole-4-sulfonic acid (HL), were synthesized. Single crystals of HL·H2O, LiL(H2O), NaL(H2O), RbL, CsL, CaL2(H2O), SrL2(H2O), BaL2(H2O), CuL2(H2O)3·2.3H2O·0.5(acetone), and CdL2(H2O)3·2H2O were obtained from aqueous solutions either by evaporation or acetone vapor diffusion. Characterization by single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that the coordination compounds of L- (except Cu) possess alternating inorganic-organic layered structures, in which L- engages in extensive charge-assisted networks of H-bonding and aromatic interactions as well as metal coordination through the pyrazole N atom and/or the sulfonate O atom. A topol. anal. and classification of underlying metal-organic or hydrogen-bonded networks uncover a number of distinct topol. nets (3,5L2, hcb, 6,6L1, 3,5C1, 3,8L28, hex, and pcu). A thermogravimetric anal. shows that HL and NH4L are stable up to 285 and 90 °C, resp., whereas the anhydrous metal compounds decompose above 200-230 °C. The pKa values of 3,5-dimethylpyrazole-4-sulfonic acid (HL) and pyrazole-4-sulfonic acid were determined by 1H NMR titrations with H2SO4. Copper corrosion experiments indicate that 3,5-dimethylpyrazole-4-sulfonic acid (HL) is a better anticorrosion agent than the parent pyrazole-4-sulfonic acid at pH 4, whereas the coordination polymers of L- offer weaker corrosion protection in comparison to the corresponding pyrazole-4-sulfonate complexes. The latter result is corroborated by the less compact and less robust thin films formed by metal-L compounds, as indicated by SEM/energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM/EDS) measurements, and the weaker acidity of HL, which allows for easier protonation of the conjugate base L- in metal-L compounds This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as Tetramethylammonium chloride (cas: 75-57-0Related Products of 75-57-0).

Influence of bile salt on vitamin E derived vesicles involving surface active ionic liquid and conventional cationic micelle was written by Roy, Arpita;Kundu, Sangita;Dutta, Rupam;Sarkar, Nilmoni. And the article was included in Journal of Colloid and Interface Science in 2017.Formula: C25H46ClN The following contents are mentioned in the article:

This study has been actually performed with the aim to develop vitamin E derived vesicles individually from a surface active ionic liquid (1-Hexadecyl-3-Methylimidazolium chloride ([C16mim]Cl)) and a common cationic amphiphile (benzyldimethylhexadecylammonium chloride (BHDC)) and also to investigate their consequent breakdown in presence of bile salt mol. From this study, it is revealed that the rotational motion of coumarin 153 (C153) mol. is hindered as the vitamin E content is increased in the individual micellar solution of [C16mim]Cl and BHDC. The extent of enhancement in rotational relaxation time is more pronounced in case of [C16mim]Cl-vitamin E solutions than in the BHDC-vitamin E vesicular aggregates which confirms the greater rigidity of the former vesicular system than the later one. Moreover, the effect of bile salt in the vitamin E forming vesicular assemblies have also been unravelled. It is found that the large area occupancy by the steroidal backbone of the bile salt plays a crucial role towards the enlargement of the average surfactant head group area. This results in disintegration of the vesicles composed of vitamin E and consequently, vesicles are transformed into mixed micellar aggregates. From the anisotropy measurement it is found that the rotational motion of C153 is more hindered in the [C16mim]Cl/BHDC-NaCh mixed micelles compared to that inside the individual vesicles. The fluorescence correlation spectroscopic (FCS) study also confirms that the mixed micelles have a more compact structure than that of the [C16mim]Cl-vitamin E and BHDC-vitamin E vesicles. Altogether, the micelle to vesicle transition involving any vitamin and their disruption by bile salt would be an interesting investigation both from the view point of basic colloidal chem. and towards the generation of new drug delivery vehicle due to their unique microenvironment. Therefore, in future, these systems can be utilized as vehicle for the transport and as well as delivery of drugs and as probable reactor in nanomaterial synthesis. The essential oil was separated from the fresh leaves of Phellodendron amurense Rupr. by solvent-free microwave-assisted distillation in a rotating state with n-hexane extraction and LiCl addition, which ingeniously designed lithium salt addition, rotation unit, and n-hexane extraction effectively improved the yield and separation rate of essential oils. The factors that may affect essential oils yield were screened and optimized by single factor optimization, response surface methodol., and kinetic model to obtain the optimal conditions for the separation of essential oils by this method, which were LiCl content of 8%FW, microwave irradiation power 600 W and microwave irradiation time 40 min. And the yield of essential oils is 2.39 ± 0.12 mg/g in the optimum conditions by this method, which is highly consistent with the predictions from the response surface method (2.39 mg/g) and the first-order kinetic model (2.42 ± 0.04 mg/g). This method effectively ensures the uniform heating of the plant material and the rapid overflow of the essential oil by employing the rotating unit and the addition of LiCl, which effectively avoids the loss of the heat-sensitive components in the essential oil. Moreover, the solvent-free distillation of this method highly improves the heating rate, and the added LiCl can also be effectively recovered and reused, which effectively reduces the economic cost, and environmental stress and will result in a cleaner product. And an accurate quant. anal. method of essential oils was established by n-hexane extraction-UV spectroscopy, which not only effectively avoided the loss of water-soluble components but also provided a new strategy for quant. anal. of essential oils. In addition, the results of the kinetic model indicated that the separation rate constant of essential oils in this method was 1.34 times that of microwave-assisted hydrodistillation and 5.05 times that of conventional hydrodistillation Therefore, this method is an efficient, green, and clean essential oil preparation method, which is very promising to replace existing methods in the future. D. and relative viscosity data have been obtained for lithium chloride (LiCl), sodium chloride (NaCl), potassium chloride (KCl), potassium bromide (KBr), cesium bromide (CsBr), tetramethylammonium bromide (Me4NBr), tetraethylammonium bromide (Et4NBr), tetrabutylammonium bromide (Bu4NBr), and promethazine hydrochloride (PM·HCl) salts (1:1 electrolytes) at various concentrations in aqueous 8 M urea solutions at 298.15 K. Similar data also have been obtained for aqueous 8 M urea solutions containing ethanol and tertiary butanol at 298.15 K. The apparent molar volumes of solute at finite concentration (Vϕ) and apparent molar volumes of solute at infinite dilution (Vϕ0) are calculated at 298.15 K. The viscosity coefficients A and B of the Jones-Dole equation have been obtained for all studied systems at 298.15 K. The Vϕ0, A, and B viscosity coefficient values obtained are compared with the similar data for aqueous solutions of the studied salts and alcs. (i.e., without the addition of urea) at 298.15 K. In protein denaturation studies, the addition of urea is made as a perturbant which is important; however, the exact mechanism of denaturation by urea is not known yet. The differences in binary and ternary aqueous solutions are expected on the basis of the solvent effects (water structural effects). The transfer partial molar volumes (from water to urea solutions) and transfer viscosity coefficients B have been estimated The transfer values for alcs. are pos. The drug promethazine hydrochloride forms micelles in aqueous solutions The results of this system have been explained on the basis of pos. ΔVϕ0 and viscosity coefficient A (which increases), meaning that in urea solutions, there is an increase in ion-ion and ion-pairing interactions. The results are discussed in terms of decrease in hydrophobic interactions and stacking of drug mols. in the pre-micellar concentration region due to specific drug cation-urea interactions, probably due to the formation of complex aggregates. This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as Lithium chloride (cas: 7447-41-8HPLC of Formula: 7447-41-8).

Lithium chloride (cas: 7447-41-8) belongs to organic chlorides. An organic chloride is an organic compound containing at least one covalently bonded atom of chlorine. Their wide structural variety and divergent chemical properties lead to a broad range of names and applications. Alkanes and aryl alkanes may be chlorinated under free radical conditions, with UV light. However, the extent of chlorination is difficult to control.HPLC of Formula: 7447-41-8
