Mukherjee, Attreyee’s team published research in Indian Journal of Chemistry, Section B: Organic Chemistry Including Medicinal Chemistry in 2021 | 17082-09-6

Indian Journal of Chemistry, Section B: Organic Chemistry Including Medicinal Chemistry published new progress about Acid chlorides Role: RCT (Reactant), RACT (Reactant or Reagent). 17082-09-6 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C9H7ClO, Name: (E)-Cinnamoyl chloride.

Mukherjee, Attreyee; Mahalanabis, Kumar K. published the artcile< Systematic study on acylation of methyl 3-aminocrotonate with acid chlorides of aliphatic, aromatic and α,β-unsaturated acids: a comparative evaluation of the preference for regio- and stereoselectivity vis-a'-vis 3-aminocrotononitrile>, Name: (E)-Cinnamoyl chloride, the main research area is methyl aminocrotonate regioselective diastereoselective acylation.

Acylation of Me 3-aminocrotonate in benzene with a variety of aliphatic and aromatic acid chlorides including α,β-unsaturated acid chloride in the presence of an added organic base, (either pyridine or triethylamine) was reported. The preferred N, C-site selectivity in these reactions was compared with the terminal selectivity of the products obtained previously on acylation of Me 3-aminocrotononitrile. A strong preference either for N- or C- selectivity in N, C-acylation was observed for both Me 3-aminocrotonate and Me 3-aminocrotononitrile based on the choice of acid chlorides and added organic base. Interestingly, irresp. of the enamine Me 3-aminocrotonate or Me 3-aminocrotononitrile, acylation with α,β-unsaturated acid chlorides in the presence of triethylamine afforded 3,4-dihydropyridin-(2H)-one via [3.3] sigmatropic rearrangement of the corresponding intermediary N(E)-enamide. Accrued results showed Me 3-aminocrotonate to be a better precursor for preparation of enamides (N-acylated products) whereas 3-aminocrotononitrile was found to be a preferred choice for preparation of enaminones (C-acylated products). An attempt was made to offer a preliminary theor. interpretation for observed site selectivity.

El Nady, Jehan; Ali, Magdy; Kamel, Ola A.; Ebrahim, Shaker; Soliman, Moataz published the artcile< Room temperature synthesis of aqueous ZnCuInS/ZnS quantum dots>, Electric Literature of 22519-64-8, the main research area is zinc sulfide quantum dot room temperature.

In this work a new method was developed for synthesis of aqueous cadmium-free, CuInS (CIS) quantum dots (QDs) at room temperature CIS QDs as cores were alloyed with 25% of Zn2+ ions at room temperature and followed by the growth of ZnS shell to form CIS and ZCIS QDs. X-ray diffraction (XRD) anal. confirmed that the ZCIS QDs have a wurtzite structure. Moreover, the energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) anal. demonstrated that ZCIS QDs are composed of Cu, In, Zn and S elements. It was found that Zn ions introduced into CIS QDs lattice structure did not change in the crystal structure. ZCIS/ZnS QDs showed high photoluminescence (PL) peak and its position and intensity depend on the Cu:In ratio. High resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) images showed that ZCIS and ZCIS/ZnS QDs have a spherical shape with average diameter sizes of 4.0 nm and 7.0 nm, resp. The selected area electron diffraction (SAED) suggested that the prepared ZCIS QDs are crystalline with an interplanar distance of 0.320 nm.

Li, Tianming’s team published research in High Performance Polymers in 2016-03-31 | 118-45-6

High Performance Polymers published new progress about Bending strength. 118-45-6 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H3ClO3, COA of Formula: C8H3ClO3.

Li, Tianming; Yao, Zhengjun; Zhou, Jintang published the artcile< Preparation and characterization of a novel composite of polythioetherimide/bismaleimide/2,2'-diallylbisphenol A>, COA of Formula: C8H3ClO3, the main research area is polythioetherimide bismaleimide diallylbisphenol composite preparation thermomech property.

A novel composite of polythioetherimide (PTEI)/bismaleimide (BMI)/2,2′-diallylbisphenol A (BA) was prepared Mech. measurements, dynamic thermomech. anal., and microanal. were conducted to assess the toughness and morphol. of the composite. Results demonstrate that the addition of PTEI has significant effects on the mech. properties of the BMI/BA system. Compared with the BMI/BA resin, the PTEI/BMI/BA system significantly improves the impact strength and bending strength, given an appropriate amount of PTEI. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) images and energy dispersive spectroscopy results show that PTEI is distributed uniformly in the PTEI/BMI/BA system and that the interfacial compatibility between the PTEI and BMI/BA phase is excellent. Thermogravimetric and dielec. analyses were also conducted to infer the thermal and dielec. properties of the composite. With a suitable addition of PTEI, the BMI/BA resin still exhibits good thermal resistance and dielec. constant and loss values of the blends still retain good stability in a frequency band from 10 MHz to 60 MHz. All these changes in properties are closely correlated with the addition of PTEI.

Sen, Sudeshna’s team published research in ACS Applied Polymer Materials in 2021-01-08 | 1592-20-7

ACS Applied Polymer Materials published new progress about Crosslinking. 1592-20-7 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C9H9Cl, Formula: C9H9Cl.

Sen, Sudeshna; Goodwin, Sean E.; Barbara, Pedro Verdia; Rance, Graham A.; Wales, Dominic; Cameron, Jamie M.; Sans, Victor; Mamlouk, Mohamed; Scott, Keith; Walsh, Darren A. published the artcile< Gel-Polymer Electrolytes Based on Poly(Ionic Liquid)/Ionic Liquid Networks>, Formula: C9H9Cl, the main research area is gel polymer electrolyte ionic liquid conductivity crosslinking membrane.

The use of elec. charged, polymerized ionic liquids (polyILs) offers opportunities for the development of gel-polymer electrolytes (GPEs), but the rational design of such systems is in its infancy. In this work, we compare the properties of polyIL/IL GPEs based on 1-butyl-3-(4-vinylbenzyl)imidazolium bis(trifluromethanesulfonyl)imide containing trapped ammonium-based protic ionic liquids (ILs) with an analogous series based on the elec. neutral host polymer 1-(4-vinylbenzyl)imidazole. The materials are synthesized by photopolymerizing ionic and neutral monomers in the presence of diethylmethylammonium trifluoromethanesulfonate, [dema][TfO], diethylmethylammonium trifluoroacetate, [dema][TFAc], and diethylmethylammonium bis[trifluoromethanesulfonyl]imide, [dema][Tf2N], resp. The resulting materials are characterized using electron microscopy, IR spectroscopy, thermal anal., Raman spectroscopy, and AC-impedance anal. Spectroscopic anal. confirms that the ILs are distributed throughout the polymers, unless the GPE also contains poly(diallyldimethylammonium) bis[trifluoromethanesulfonyl]imide, when separation of the components occurs. The polyIL/IL GPEs are more electrochem. and thermally stable, and up to six times more conductive, than the materials based on the neutral host. As a proof-of-concept demonstration, we show that polyIL/IL gels can be 3D printed using readily available 3D-printing hardware.

Potent DNA minor-groove binding antibacterials, e.g. I (R = aryl, heteroaryl), were designed based on the natural product distamycin A and synthesized, and their structure-activity relationship was investigated. These compounds have been shown to target A/T-rich sites within the bacterial genome and, as a result, inhibit DNA replication and RNA transcription. The optimization was focused on N-terminal aromatic heterocycles and C-terminal amines and resulted in compounds with improved in vivo tolerability and excellent in vitro antibacterial potency (MIC ≥ 0.031 μg/mL) against a broad range of Gram-pos. pathogens, including drug-resistant strains such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae, and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecalis. In a first proof-of-concept study, I (R = 3-chloro-2-thienyl) showed in vivo efficacy in a mouse peritonitis model against methicillin-sensitive S. aureus infection with an ED50 value of 30 mg/kg.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the cause of one-fifth of all lower respiratory tract infections worldwide and is increasingly being recognized as a serious threat to patient groups with poorly functioning immune systems. Our approach to finding a novel inhibitor of this virus was to screen a 20 000-member diverse library in a whole cell XTT assay. Parallel assays were carried out in the absence of virus in order to quantify any associated cell toxicity. This identified 100 compounds with IC50’s less than 50 μM. A-33903 (18), a 1,4-benzodiazepine analog, was chosen as the starting point for lead optimization. This mol. was moderately active and demonstrated good pharmacokinetic properties. The most potent compounds identified from this work were A-58568 (47), A-58569 (44), and A-62066 (46), where modifications to the aromatic substitution enhanced potency, and A-58175 (42), where the amide linker was modified.
