Matthew; Shukla, Vyom; Duncan, Katharine K.; Yang, Shouliang; Brody, Daniel M.; Brutsch, Manuela M.; Radakovic, Aleksandar; Boger, Dale L. published the artcile< Vinblastine 20' Amides: Synthetic Analogues That Maintain or Improve Potency and Simultaneously Overcome Pgp-Derived Efflux and Resistance>, Application In Synthesis of 162046-61-9, the main research area is vinblastine amide preparation antitumor.

A series of 180 vinblastine 20′ amides were prepared in three steps from com. available starting materials, systematically exploring a typically inaccessible site in the mol. enlisting a powerful functionalization strategy. Clear structure-activity relationships and a structural model were developed in the studies which provided many such 20′ amides that exhibit substantial and some even remarkable enhancements in potency, many that exhibit further improvements in activity against a Pgp overexpressing resistant cancer cell line, and an important subset of the vinblastine analogs that display little or no differential in activity against a matched pair of vinblastine sensitive and resistant (Pgp overexpressing) cell lines. The improvements in potency directly correlated with target tubulin binding affinity, and the reduction in differential functional activity against the sensitive and Pgp overexpressing resistant cell lines was found to correlate directly with an impact on Pgp-derived efflux.

Mo, Daize’s team published research in Journal of Materials Chemistry A: Materials for Energy and Sustainability in 2020 | 118-45-6

Journal of Materials Chemistry A: Materials for Energy and Sustainability published new progress about Aggregation. 118-45-6 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H3ClO3, Recommanded Product: 5-Chloroisobenzofuran-1,3-dione.

Mo, Daize; Chen, Hui; Zhou, Jiadong; Han, Liang; Zhu, Yulin; Chao, Pengjie; Zheng, Nan; Xie, Zengqi; He, Feng published the artcile< Isomeric effects of chlorinated end groups on efficient solar conversion>, Recommanded Product: 5-Chloroisobenzofuran-1,3-dione, the main research area is isomeric chlorinated solar polythiophene electronic optoelectronic photovoltaic.

Isomers with subtle differences in their mol. structure often exhibit different electronic/optoelectronic properties, charge-transport behaviors and photovoltaic performances. In this work, we describe BTIC-2Cl-γ, BTIC-2Cl-δ, and BTIC-2Cl-β, three isomers with acceptor-donor-acceptor-donor-acceptor (A-D-A-D-A) structures, in which a fused benzothiadiazole is the donor (D) unit and a single chlorine atom substituted at the δ, β or γ position of the benzene-fused end groups is the acceptor (A) unit. In general, changes in the position of the chlorine atom were found to lead to significantly different absorptions, energy levels, and photovoltaic performances. Compared to BTIC-2Cl-δ, the BTIC-2Cl-γ isomer shows similar UV/Vis absorption, energy levels, and mol. packing, but slightly better photovoltaic performance. A crystallog. anal. of BTIC-2Cl-δ indicates that the mols. easily form a three-dimensional (3D) network due to the noncovalent interactions of Cl···S, Cl···π and Cl···N. When blended with PBDB-TF as an electron-donor material, the devices based on BTIC-2Cl-γ exhibited higher power conversion efficiency (PCE) of up to 15.04% with an increased voltage (Voc) of 0.90 V, which was better than that of BTIC-2Cl-δ-based devices (14.13%) and much higher than that of BTIC-2Cl-β-based devices (7.39%). Our studies demonstrate that having the chlorine atom at the different positions of the end groups clearly affects the photovoltaic properties of the resulting acceptors.

The 6th European Framework Program project LIINTOP was specifically raised to optimize and provide established protocols and exptl. in vitro models for testing intestinal and liver absorption, metabolism and toxicity of mols. of pharmacol. interest. It has been focused on some of the most promising existing liver and intestine in vitro models with the aim of further improving their performance and thus taking them to a pre-normative research stage. Regarding the specific area of the liver, a first basic approach was the optimization of in vitro hepatic models and the development and optimization of in vitro approaches for toxicity screening. New advanced technologies have been proposed and developed in order to determine cellular and mol. targets as endpoints of drug exposure. A key issue in the development and optimization of in vitro hepatotoxicity screening methods was the selection of structurally diverse suitable hepatotoxic reference model compounds to be tested. To this end, a number of solid selection criteria were defined (drugs preferably than chem. agents, well-documented hepatotoxicity in man and well-defined mechanism/s of hepatotoxicity, com. available no volatile compounds with unequivocal CAS number and chem. structure), the strategy followed, including all resources consulted, is described and the selected compounds are extensively illustrated.

Yang, Ke’s team published research in Journal of Polymer Science (Hoboken, NJ, United States) in 2021-07-01 | 1592-20-7

Journal of Polymer Science (Hoboken, NJ, United States) published new progress about Cationic polymerization. 1592-20-7 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C9H9Cl, COA of Formula: C9H9Cl.

Yang, Ke; Liu, Qiang; Wen, Shuai; Zhuang, Tao published the artcile< Synthesis of branched polyisobutylenes via cationic copolymerization of p-chloromethylstyrene and isobutylene>, COA of Formula: C9H9Cl, the main research area is branched chloromethylstyrene polyisobutylene cationic copolymerization polydispersity kinetics.

Branched polyisobutylenes (PIBs) with relatively low dispersities (1.4-1.8) and benzylic halide functionalities are synthesized by self-condensing vinyl cationic copolymerization of p-chloromethylstyrene (p-CMS) and isobutylene (IB) coinitiated by TiCl4. It is found that the [IB]/[p-CMS] feed ratio plays a crucial role for the initiating behavior of p-CMS: the initiation arising from p-CMS is suppressed at [IB]/[p-CMS] ≥17; in contrast, the pendant benzyl chloride moiety of p-CMS monomer in the formed copolymer chains can initiate branching reactions. The resulting branched PIBs are of a gradient composition as well as a gradual increase in branching d. due to large disparity in reactivity ratios. This strategy is successfully employed to create branched PIBs with low to moderate mol. weights (Mn, 5 k-78 k Da) through controlling the monomer/initiator mole ratio. However, it is shown that this method failed to obtain branched PIBs with high Mn, bearing a complicated copolymerization mechanism.

Science of the Total Environment published new progress about Algae. 3964-57-6 belongs to class chlorides-buliding-blocks, and the molecular formula is C8H7ClO3, Reference of 3964-57-6.

Li, Wenhui; Gao, Lihong; Shi, Yali; Wang, Yuan; Liu, Jiemin; Cai, Yaqi published the artcile< Spatial distribution, temporal variation and risks of parabens and their chlorinated derivatives in urban surface water in Beijing, China>, Reference of 3964-57-6, the main research area is spatial distribution temporal variation risk paraben chlorinated derivative; risk paraben chlorinated derivative river lake water Beijing China; Parabens; Risk assessment; Spatial distribution; Temporal variation; Urban surface water.

The occurrence and distribution of 13 target compounds, including 8 parabens, 4 chlorinated parabens and p-hydroxybenzoic acid (PHBA), were detected in surface water samples at 35 sampling sites in the Beijing River system, China. The surface water samples were collected from the main rivers and lakes in the urban area monthly from July 2013 to June 2014 (except the frozen period). Laboratory analyses revealed that parabens were ubiquitous in the surface water of Beijing. PHBA was the predominant compound in the surface water samples, with the average concentration of 239 ng/L, followed by the total amount of chlorinated parabens (average 50.1 ng/L) and parabens (average 44.3 ng/L). It is noteworthy that octylparaben with longer chain was 1st detected in the surface water. Significant difference was observed for paraben concentrations from different sampling sites, and the highest level of parabens was found in the Xiaotaihou River, which was mainly due to the untreated sewage discharge. Seasonal variation of target compounds in the urban surface water was also studied, and parabens exhibited a different temporal variation from chlorinated derivatives A combination of factors including high residual Cl level and water temperature as well as intense UV radiation might enhance the persistence of chlorinated parabens in chlorinated water during the wet season. Risk assessment showed that parabens and their chlorinated derivatives are not likely to produce biol. effects on aquatic ecosystems at current levels in the surface water of Beijing.

Evans, J. D. H. L.; Cavell, B. D.; Hignett, R. R. published the artcile< Fomesafen - metabolism as a basis for its selectivity in soya>, Computed Properties of 35852-58-5, the main research area is fomesafen metabolism herbicide soybean.

Soya, maize and spiny cocklebur (Xanthium spinosum) plants were treated with 14C-side-chain labeled fomesafen (Ia) by injection and or by root uptake from nutrient solution It was established that the facile metabolism of the compound in soya, but not the other species, was the basis for its herbicidal selectivity. Excised soya leaves were treated with aqueous solutions containing Ia, 14C-nitrophenyl-labeled fomesafen (Ib) and 14C-halophenyl-labeled fomesafen (Ic). The same major radioactive metabolite, M1 was formed following treatments with Ia and Ib but treatment with Ic yielded 2 different metabolites, M2 and M3. Therefore cleavage at the di-Ph ether linkage was proven. Metabolites M2 and M3 hydrolyzed with acid to 2-chloro-4-trifluoromethylphenol. Metabolite M1 was shown by cochromatog. to be S-[3-(N-methanesulfonylcarbamoyl)-4-nitrophenyl]cysteine.
