Ratiometric fluorescent probes hold great promise for in vivo imaging; however, stimuli-activatable ratiometric probes with fluorescence emissions in near-IR (NIR) region are still very few. Herein, we report a hydrogen sulfide (H2S)-activatable ratiometric NIR fluorescent probe (1-SPN) by integrating a H2S-responsive NIR fluorescent probe 1 into a H2S-inert poly[2,6-(4,4-bis-(2-ethylhexyl)-4H-cyclopenta[2,1-b;3,4-b’]dithiophene)-alt-4,7(2,1,3-benzothiadiazole)] (PCPDTBT)-based NIR semiconducting polymer nanoparticle (SPN). 1-SPN shows “always on” PCPDTBT fluorescence at 830 nm and weak probe 1 fluorescence at 725 nm under excitation at 680 nm. The ratio of NIR fluorescence intensities between 725 and 830 is small. Upon interaction with H2S, the fluorescence at 725 nm is rapidly switched on, resulting in a large enhancement of I725/I830, which is allowed for sensitive visualization and quantification of H2S concentrations in living cells. Taking advantage of enhanced tissue penetration depth of NIR fluorescence, 1-SPN is also applied for real-time ratiometric fluorescence imaging of hepatic and tumor H2S in living mice. This study demonstrates that activatable ratiometric NIR fluorescent probes hold great potential for in vivo imaging. Amino-functionalized polystyrene polymers derived from Merrifield resins were prepared and characterized. These basic materials were successfully employed as heterogeneous catalysts in the diazo transfer reaction to 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds R1C(O)CH2C(O)R2 [R1 = R2 = Me, Ph, MeO; R1 = Me, R2 = Ph; R1 = Me, Et, ClCH2, Ph, etc., R2 = EtO; R1R2 = (CH2)3, OCMe2O, etc.] furnishing the corresponding diazo compounds R1C(O)C(:N2)C(O)R2 in good to excellent yields and in relatively short reaction times. In addition, the work-up and purification protocols are simple and do not generate large amounts of waste, which are important features in sustainable catalysis and environmentally benign processes. The feasibility of the recovery and reuse of the amino-modified catalysts were also verified, since they can be employed up to five times without appreciable loss of catalytic activity. This straightforward procedure can be readily scaled up to gram scale, enabling the wide application of this method. The synthetic potential was demonstrated through the two-step preparation of 2-amino-N-dodecylacetamide (ANDA), a small mol. of com. relevance. In this work, state-of-the-art Pd-chelated poly(triazine imide) (Pd-PTI) nanocatalysts were synthesized with PTI, as cheap solid support, and different Pd contents by an easy co-precipitation method for conducting the model reduction reaction of p-nitrophenol to p-aminophenol. The electron microscopy observations (i.e., SEM and transmission electron microscopy), quant. dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and elemental mapping images demonstrated that Pd nanoparticles (NPs) were homogeneously loaded on the surface of highly crystalline two-dimensional (2-D) PTI nanosheets. Among the all prepared Pd-PTI nanocatalysts, the PTI-1500-Pd indicated the highest pseudo-first-order rate constant of 12.7 x 10-3 s-1, which was significantly higher than that of the recently reported Pd-based nanocatalysts. This catalyst showed ultrahigh, superior catalytic efficiency (≥99%) and stability properties for the hydrogenation of p-nitrophenol within 40 s under mild conditions and possessed excellent recovery (≥90%) of expensive Pd NPs after five consecutive cycles. The high-catalytic performance of the PTI-1500-Pd nanocatalyst is related to specific properties of the highly crystalline structure, high-surface area and very available surface amine groups of 2-D PTI nanosheets, which functioned as an active site for immobilizing ultrafine Pd0 NPs. Formic acid (HCOOH, FA), a common liquid hydrogen storage material, has attracted tremendous research interest. However, the development of efficient, low-cost and high-stable heterogeneous catalyst for selective dehydrogenation of FA remains a major challenge. In this paper, a simple co-reduction method is proposed to synthesize nitrogen-phosphorus co-functionalized rGO (NPG) supported ultrafine NiCoPd-CeOx nanoparticles (NPs) with a mean size of 1.2 nm. Remarkably, the as-prepared Ni0.2Co0.2Pd0.6-CeOx/NPG shows outstanding catalytic activity for FA dehydrogenation, affording a high TOF value of 6506.8 mol H2 mol Pd-1 h-1 at 303 K and a low activation energy of 17.7 kJ mol-1, which is better than most of the reported heterogeneous catalysts, and can be ascribed to the combined effect of well-dispersed ultrafine NiCoPd-CeOx NPs, modified Pd electronic structure, and abundant active sites. The reaction mechanism of dehydrogenation of FA is also discussed. Furthermore, the optimized Ni0.2Co0.2Pd0.6-CeOx/NPG shows excellent stability over 10th run with 100% conversion and 100% H2 selectivity, which may provide more possibilities for practical application of FA system on fuel cells. Enhancement of Hot Electron Generation in Colloidal Plasmonic Nanocrystals by Adsorption of Pt Clusters was written by Yang, Yi;Wang, Kaiyu;Khan, Majid;Hu, Ningneng;Ni, Weihai. And the article was included in Advanced Optical Materials in 2022.Product Details of 122-18-9 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

Surface scattering of electrons is used to be recognized as a detrimental damping process of the plasmonic oscillation, whereas such electron-surface scattering generates hot electrons (HEs) inside the metal nanocrystals, being of great significance in practical applications, i.e., photodetection or photocatalytic reactions. However, utilizing surface scattering in colloidal plasmonic nanocrystals in realistic catalytic reactions remains challenging. This work presents a systematic study on the HE rates of colloidal Au nanocrystals, including nanospheres, nanocubes, and nanorods, and their enhancement from the adsorption of Pt clusters. Au nanocubes exhibit the highest single particle-averaged incident photon-to-electron conversion efficiency among the three types of the nanocrystals. The Au nanocrystals are further adsorbed with Pt clusters, and the highest photocurrent enhancement by nearly one order of magnitude is observed To explain the exptl. observations, the contribution of the Pt adsorption to the plasmon damping is characterized by single-particle dark-field spectroscopy, and the HE rates are calculated by employing the finite-element method. The overall significant enhancement of the photocurrent due to the Pt adsorption is finally explained by both electromagnetic and catalytic effects of the Pt clusters. A novel carbon nanotubes (CNTs)/agarose (AG)/ITO electrode with high electro-catalytic activity was prepared using a simple sol-gel method. Characterization results showed that the prepared CNTs/AG membrane, coated on the ITO conductive glass, was consisted of C and O. The electro-catalytic degradation for 2-chlorophenol (2-CP) and the influence factors were investigated. The results meant that electro-catalytic degradation for 2-CP was highly dependent on pH, bias voltage, and catalyst dosage. At pH 2, 4V bias voltage, and 5wt% CNTs dosage, the electro-catalytic efficiency of CNTs/AG/ITO electrode for 2-CP (20 mg/L) achieved 98% within 180 min. Afterwards, the electro-catalytic properties of recycling electrode, roles of the generated reactive oxygen species, and the reaction pathways were also investigated and proposed. In addition, the toxicities of the generated intermediates from the electro-catalytic degradation were calculated by easy methods. The results indicated that the toxicities of some intermediates were higher than the parent pollutant, especially the formation of 2-CP dimer which was seldom reported in the advanced oxidation process. The findings of using AG as the carrier and conductive adhesive for catalytic material and the assessment methods for the possible increasing risks from the intermediates were reported firstly in this paper. Nanoparticles have already demonstrated a good performance in improving the wear and/or coefficient of friction when used as nanolubricants. Nevertheless, they show two main drawbacks: most of them are metal-based and, therefore, eco-unfriendly, and they are mostly hydrophilic and, consequently, unstable in organic media, which finally drives to aggregation/sedimentation and the loose of the good properties. In this work, we carry out the synthesis of carbon-based nanoparticles for additives in lubricants from two different approaches: either using ionic liquids as carbons source, or using glutathione as carbon source and decorating the so-obtained carbon dots with the big organic cations of the ionic liquid The final materials (diameters between 2.2 and 3.5 nm) were characterized by TEM, FTIR, XPS, and luminescent methodologies, finding long-term stability of the suspensions in organic media (≥15 days). Carbon dots obtained directly from the ionic liquids, in particular from methyltrioctylammonium chloride (MTOACDs) have demonstrated to be the best candidate as additive in different base oils (0.1%, w/v) and lubrication regimes, reducing the coefficient of friction about 30% and wear scar in more than 60% in the most extreme of the tested conditions (120 N). The focus of this work is on the nature of self-healing of ionically modified rubbers obtained by reaction of brominated poly(isobutylene-co-isoprene) rubber (BIIR) with various alkyl imidazoles such as 1-methylimidazole , 1-Bu imidazole , 1-hexyl imidazole , 1-nonyl imidazole and 1-(6-chloro hexyl)-1H-imidazole . Based on stress-strain and temperature dependent DMA measurements, a structural influence of the introduced ionic imidazolium moieties on the formation of ionic clusters and, as a consequence on the mech. strength and self-healing behavior of the samples could be evidenced. These results are fully supported by a mol.-level assessment of the network structure (crosslink and constraint d.) and the dynamics of the ionic clusters using an advanced proton low-field NMR technique. The results show distinct correlations between the macroscopic behavior and mol. chain dynamics of the modified rubbers. In particular, it is shown that the optimization of material properties with regard to mech. and self-healing behavior is limited by opposing tendencies. Samples with reduced chain dynamics exhibit superior mech. behavior but lack on self-healing behavior. In spite of these limitations, the overall performance of some of our samples including self-healing behavior exceeds distinctly that of other self-healing rubbers described in the literature so far.
