Bala, Renu published the artcilePhthaloyl Dichloride-DMF Mediated Synthesis of Benzothiazole-based 4-Formylpyrazole Derivatives: Studies on Their Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Activities, Product Details of C7H7ClN2S, the publication is Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry (2018), 55(11), 2507-2515, database is CAplus.
Benzothiazole-based pyrazole derivatives were prepared by a mol. hybridization approach with an aim to influence the biol. activity significantly. Efficient conversion of hydrazones I (R = H, OMe, Cl, etc.; R’ = H, F; R” = H, Me, Br, Cl) derived from their corresponding Me ketones to 4-formylpyrazoles II was carried out at 60° in dioxane, using the Vilsmeier-Haack reagent isolated from phthaloyl dichloride and N,N-dimethylformamide. The newly synthesized compounds II and hydrazones I were screened in vitro for their antimicrobial activities using the broth macrodilution method. The compounds I were also screened for their antioxidant activities using the DPPH radical scavenging assay. Some of the synthesized compounds showed significant antibacterial and antifungal activities as evident from their min. inhibitory concentrations Compound II (R = R’ = H; R” = Br) showed remarkable antioxidant activity.
Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry published new progress about 3696-23-9. 3696-23-9 belongs to chlorides-buliding-blocks, auxiliary class Chloride,Thiourea,Amine,Benzene,Amide, name is 1-(4-Chlorophenyl)thiourea, and the molecular formula is C7H7ClN2S, Product Details of C7H7ClN2S.
