Reference Example 6 Manufacture of 4-dimethylaminoethyloxy-benzenethiol Dimethylaminoethyl chloride hydrochloride (2.40 g; 17.1 mmol) and 5.83 g (42.2 mmol) of potassium carbonate were successively added to a solution (70 ml) of 3.00 g (13.6 mmol) of 4-iodophenol in N,N-dimethylformamide followed by stirring at 70C for 15 hours.
