N-Benzyl-N,N-dimethylhexadecan-1-aminium chloride (cas: 122-18-9) belongs to organic chlorides. Organic chlorides can cause corrosion in pipelines, valves and condensers, and cause catalyst poisoning. The hydrocarbon processing industry (HPI) and others are affected by damage caused by these substances. Organochlorine compounds are lipophylic, meaning they are more soluble in fat than in water. This gives them a high tenancy to accumulate in the food chain (biomagnification).Application of 122-18-9

Determination of benzalkonium chloride in packaging materials by high performance liquid chromatography was written by Zhang, Yong;Yu, Quan. And the article was included in Baozhuang Gongcheng in 2017.Application of 122-18-9 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

The work aims to establish high performance liquid chromatog. (HPLC) to determine the contents of three benzalkonium chlorides (dodecyl di-Me benzyl ammonium chloride, tetradecyl di-Me benzyl ammonium chloride, hexadecyl di-Me benzyl ammonium chloride) in packaging materials. Samples were extracted by methanol-water (volume ratio 1:1) ultrasound and centrifugal filtration, determined by diode array detector, and quantified by external standard method. The results showed that three benzalkonium chlorides had good linearity in the range of 10.0∼500.0 mg/L, and r2 were less than or equal to 0.9996; the detection limit was 2.5∼5.0 mg/L; the limit of quantification was 10.0 ∼20.0 mg/L; the average recovery rate was 88.7%∼96.6%, and the relative standard deviation was 2.5%∼5.3%. The pretreatment of the proposed method is simple, and it is of high sensitivity and accuracy. This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as N-Benzyl-N,N-dimethylhexadecan-1-aminium chloride (cas: 122-18-9Application of 122-18-9).
