Four 2-(acylamino)-5-aminobenzo[d]thiazoles (acyl = MeCO, EtCO, PhCO, 4-MeC6H4CO) were efficiently synthesized in 3 steps by cyclocondensation of 1-chloro-2,4-dinitrobenzene with thiourea followed by acylation of the intermediate 2-amino-5-nitrobenzothiazole and hydrogen reduction of the nitro group on Pd catalyst in DMF.
