The synthesis of C-ring quinoxaline-substituted sinomenine 1,2,3-triazole derivatives at the 4-OH via click reactions was accomplished, and a total of 16 novel sinomenine double N-heterocyclic derivatives are obtained in 74%-95% yields. The C-ring is first transformed into a 1,2-diketone structure under the action of hydrochloric acid, and then reacted with o-phenylenediamine to obtain a C-ring quinoxaline-substituted structure. The 4-OH of sinomenine reacted with chloropropyne to give an alkynyl sinomenine, and then reacts with sodium azide and various benzyl chlorides to give the target compounds All the synthesized derivatives were characterized by Fourier-transform IR spectrometry, high resolution mass spectrometry, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy.

Novel core-multishell UCNPs with dual wavelength NIR light transduction properties were rationally designed and synthesized by judiciously distributing the Tmn and Er3+ emissive ions in appropriate layers to furnish UV and visible luminescence on demand upon NIR irradiation at different wavelengths.

A direct functionalization of a variety of quinones with several boronic acids has been developed. This scalable reaction proceeds readily at room temperature in an open flask using catalytic silver(I) nitrate in the presence of a persulfate co-oxidant. The scope with respect to quinones is broad, with a variety of alkyl- and arylboronic acids undergoing efficient cross-coupling. The mechanism is presumed to proceed through a nucleophilic radical addition to the quinone with in situ reoxidation of the resulting dihydroquinone. This method has been applied to complex substrates, including a steroid derivative and a farnesyl natural product.

DFT calculations have been conducted on Pd-catalyzed regioselective hydroaminocarbonylation of alkenes. The favored path I consists of styrene insertion, CO insertion, and nucleophilic attack, which is the rate determining step. In the PPh3-assisted system, the conjugation between the benzylic units and the acyl group stabilizes the branched transition state in the nucleophilic attack leading to the branched selectivity. On the other hand, in the xantphos-assisted system, the steric repulsion between the substrate and the ligand leads to a higher barrier for the branched transition state; therefore, linear selectivity is favored which is in line with the exptl. observation. The anal. of the electronic and steric effects of ligands on the selectivity helps to develop a catalyst for hydroaminocarbonylation of alkenes.
