Owing to their high catalytic efficiency and selectivity, the ordered intermetallic Pd-based nanocatalysts have greater promise than disordered nanocatalysts for formic acid oxidation reactions (FAOR). Traditionally, intermetallic nanoparticles are synthesized via the annealing of disordered alloy in a high temperature and reducing atm. However, this method inevitably adds complexity and increases cost to practical application as well as leads to the destruction of nanostructures and the deactivation of nanocatalysts. Herein, monodisperse ordered intermetallic PdCu nanocatalysts are obtained through liquid phase reduction reaction in one pot without heat treatment. The results indicate that the ethylene glycol and KBr not only affect the solubilities of Pd and Cu precursors, but also facilitate the formation of the ordered intermetallic PdCu nanostructures with well-defined morphol. Compared to disordered PdCu, com. Pd/C, and com. Pd black nanocatalysts, the ordered intermetallic PdCu nanocatalysts display enhanced activity and durability for FAOR. The mass and specific activities are 665 mA mgPd-1 and 1.88 mA cm-2, which are 1.45, 2.67, and 4.16 and 1.21, 1.53, and 1.74 times disordered PdCu, com. Pd/C, and com. Pd black nanocatalysts, resp. This work comes up with one novel approach for the preparation of ordered intermetallic PdCu nanocrystals without heat treatment. Fermentation of carbohydrates present in lignocellulosic (LC) biomass is facilitated by lignin removal, which is usually achieved by adopting various pretreatment methods to provide the enzymes proper access to their resp. substrates. Pretreatment using ionic liquid (IL) is relatively recent advancement and considered as mild and green process. ILs can dissolve extensive quantities of biomass and depolymerize the cellulose. In this context, an abundantly available LC biomass, sugarcane bagasse (SB), was pretreated using alkali or with an IL, methyltrioctylammonium chloride, and was used for cellulase production from thermophilic bacteria. In all, 26 indigenously isolated thermophilic bacterial strains were quant. screened for cellulase production 16S rDNA sequences of the promising isolates UE10 and UE27 revealed relatedness with Brevibacillus borstelensis, while the strain UE1 belonged to Aneurinibacillus thermoaerophilus. Cellulase production was compared by utilizing alkali pretreated and IL pretreated SB and the later was found more appropriate. UE1, UE10 and UE27 yielded 22.2, 22.18 and 33.3 IU mL-1 of endoglucanase, resp., by fermenting IL pretreated SB. The changes in SB structure after pretreatment were evaluated by SEM. The studies were conducted at various compositions of the mixed systems ranging between 0 and 1. The parameters determined include different physicochem. and interaction parameters. The neg. values of interaction parameters obtained for mixed micelle formation point out the attractive interaction among the components and lead to non-ideality which has been theor. treated by Clint′s and Rubingh′s models. The BDHAC + 14-s-14 mixtures in different mole fractions were used in the synthesis of very stable silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) in aqueous media, which were characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy. PdAu bimetallic nanoparticles synthesized by bacterial cells (Bio-PdAu NPs) are receiving more and more research interest. However, its practical application is extremely limited because of the inefficient PdAu immobilization, which is critical regarding both security and process costs. This work reported one-pot biosynthesis of reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-supported PdAu NPs (Bio-PdAu@rGO) with the Shewanella oneidensis MR-1 at ambient temperature Shewanella oneidensis MR-1 can efficiently reduce GO to rGO and produce face-centered-cubic (fcc) structural PdAu alloy NPs that uniformly embedded on bacterium and rGO. Interestingly, in situ bio-synthesized rGO significantly increased the recovery rate of PdAu NPs from 35.6% to 93.5%. Bio-PdAu@rGO displayed an efficient catalytic activity for Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions in contrast to that as-synthesized monometallic bio-Pd NPs, with Bio-PdAu NPs significantly outperforming both. Modest to excellent conversion with 82-100% was obtained when aryl iodide and aryl bromide were used to evaluate the catalytic performance. Moreover, the catalysts had strong universality and tolerate a wide range of substituents. In summary, the small size and uniform size distribution of PdAu NPs, combined with the strong electrostatic attraction and elec. conductivity of rGO, can make Bio-PdAu@rGO an active and stable catalyst in the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction. Highly dispersed and stabilized Pd species on H2 pre-treated Al2O3 for anthraquinone hydrogenation and H2O2 production was written by Liang, Jingyue;Wang, Fuying;Li, Wei;Zhang, Jinli;Guo, Cui-li. And the article was included in Molecular Catalysis in 2022.COA of Formula: Cl4Na2Pd The following contents are mentioned in the article:

Anthraquinone hydrogenation is the core reaction in H2O2 production process. In this work, γ-Al2O3 samples with different H2 treatment temperatures (denoted as R-Al-T) were prepared to be the catalytic supports, and a series of Pd/R-Al-T catalysts were obtained by a simple impregnation method. Among the catalysts, Pd/R-Al-500 exhibits the best catalytic performance for anthraquinone hydrogenation of 10.63 g·L-1 hydrogenation efficiency and 885.83 gH2O2·gPd-1·h-1 H2O2 productivity, which increases by 37.7% compared with Pd/γ-Al. The stability of Pd/R-Al-500 is also significantly higher than that of Pd/γ-Al. Characterization results show the pre-treatment can construct more coordinatively unsaturated pentacoordinate Al3+ (denoted as Al3+penta) and forms more Pd-O-Al structures, which improve the Pd dispersion and synergistic effect between Pd0 and Pd2+, so as to improve the catalytic activity. Al3+penta sites also enhance the anchoring effect on Pd species and lessen the Pd leaching and agglomeration, which lead to the high stability of Pd/R-Al-500 catalyst. This work provides a simple strategy to disperse and stabilize active Pd species on γ-Al2O3 for anthraquinone hydrogenation. In order to achieve the determination and quantification of trace lobetyolin and atractylenolide III in Codonopsis Radix, a procedure of dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction utilizing a hydrophobic deep eutectic solvent as the extractant combined with high performance liquid chromatog. was developed. The primary variables affecting the extraction process, including the type, ratio and volume of extractant, pH and salt concentration in sample phase, type and volume of dispersant, extraction time, centrifugal speed and time were optimized. In this experiment, the deep eutectic solvent prepared by methyltrioctylammonium chloride and n-butanol was the best extractant. The both target analytes showed good linearity (r2 > 0.990) in their resp. linear ranges (0.01-2.5μg/mL and 0.009-2.0μg/mL). And the limits of detection and quantification were 6 × 10-4 and 2 × 10-3 μg/mL for lobetyolin, 3 × 10-3 and 9 × 10-3 μg/mL for atractylenolide III. The enrichment factors were 37 for lobetyolin and 154 for atractylenolide III resp. The relative standard deviations of precision were 1.2-6.4% and the spiked recovery values were in the range of 87.6-114.7% with the relative standard deviations of 1.5-4.7%. We have reported drastic enhancement of photoluminescence of chiral Eu(III) complex (Eu(D-facam)3) in 1-butanol by cooperating effect of tetramethylammonium cation with specific counter anions of chloride and acetate. In this study, based on such unusual luminescence improvement, solvent effect of this luminescence enhancement was further investigated by comparing a series of primary alcs. with straight alkyl chains (carbon number, n : 1~6) including methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 1-butanol, 1-pentanol and 1-hexanol. In the case of both anions, notable alc. solvent effect on luminescence properties of Eu(D-facam)3 were observed upon coexistence with tetramethylammonium citation. Interestingly, in 1-pentanol, Eu(D-facam)3 achieved a superior luminescence enhancement above 500 times and induced circular polarized luminescence (glum = -0.69) by the interaction with tetramethylammonium acetate. On the contrary, the luminescence of Eu(D-facam)3 decreased by addition of tetramethylammonium acetate the in the methanol. The unusual optical behavior would be attributed to structural change of Eu(D-facam)3 induced by the interaction of tetramethylammonium and specific anions in alc. solution The strength of their interactions would be affected by polarity of the alc. solvents, leading to huge dependence of the luminescence intensity on the alc. species. Photothermal therapy has always been a very attractive anti-cancer strategy, drawing a lot of attention thanks to its excellent performance as a non-invasive and pretty safe technique. Lately, nanostructures have become the main characters of the play of cancer therapy due to their ability to absorb near-IR radiation and efficient light-to-heat conversion. Here we present the synthesis of polyethylene glycol (PEG)-stabilized hybrid ultrasmall (<20 nm) gold-silver nanotriangles (AuAgNTrs) and their application in photothermal therapy. The obtained AuAgNTrs were deeply investigated using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM). The cell viability assay was performed on U-87 glioblastoma multiforme cell model. Excellent photothermal performance of AuAgNTrs upon irradiation with NIR laser was demonstrated in suspension and in vitro, with >80% cell viability decrease already after 10 min laser irradiation with a laser power P = 3W/cm2 that was proved to be harmless to the control cells. Moreover, a previous cell viability test had shown that the nanoparticles themselves were reasonably biocompatible: without irradiation cell viability remained high. Herein, we show that our hybrid AuAgNTrs exhibit very exciting potential as nanostructures for hyperthermia cancer therapy, mostly due to their easy synthesis protocol, excellent cell compatibility and promising photothermal features. Extrahepatic cytochrome P 450 1B1 (CYP1B1), which is highly expressed in various tumors, is an attractive and potential target for cancer prevention, therapy, and reversal of drug resistance. CYP1B1 inhibition is the current predominant therapeutic paradigm to treating CYP1B1-mediated malignancy, but therapeutic effect has little success. Herein, we reported CYP1B1 degradation in place of CYP1B1 inhibition for reversing drug resistance toward docetaxel in CYP1B1-overexpressing prostate cancer cell line DU145 using a PROTAC strategy. Replacing chlorine atom of a CYP1B1 selective inhibitor we found previously with ethynyl, we got the resulting α-naphthoflavone derivative 5 which kept strong inhibition against CYP1B1 (IC50 = 0.4±0.2 nM) and high selectivity. Coupling of 5 with thalidomide derivatives of varying chain lengths afforded conjugates 6A-6D via click reaction. In vitro cell-based assay indicated that 6C was more effective in eliminating drug resistance of CYP1B1-overexpressed DU145 cells compared with other analogs. Western blotting anal. showed CYP1B1 degradation was one main reason for the reversal of drug resistance to docetaxel and the effect was obtained in a concentration-dependent manner. This work is the first attempt to overcome CYP1B1-mediated drug resistance via CYP1B1 degradation instead of CYP1B1 inhibition, which could provide a new direction toward eliminating drug resistance. Evaluation of mixed micellar interactions of CnBCl and SDBS mixtures using dissociated Margules model and influence of different salts was written by Sood, Ashwani Kumar;Sethi, Omish;Aggarwal, Meenu. And the article was included in Journal of Surfactants and Detergents.Electric Literature of C25H46ClN The following contents are mentioned in the article:

The conductivity measurement has been used to determine the first and second CMC′s (CMC1 and CMC2) of alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride (CnBCl; n = 12, 14 and 16) as well as gemini surfactant trimethylene-1,2-bis-(dodecyldimethylammonium bromide) (12-2-12) with sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS) in aqueous solutions using Rubing′s the regular theory approximation as well as the dissociated Margules Model. The use of Margules model allows us to calculate activity coefficients of the constituents and hence provides better values of micellar parameters for asym. mixed systems as compared to the regular solution theory. The CMC1 values for CnBCl/SDBS mixtures were seen to be lower than those predicted from their ideal mixtures suggesting synergistic interactions although the synergism increases with chain length (n) of the cationic surfactant. Both CMC1 and CMC2 experience a decrease with rising values of n. The addition of salts including NaCl, KCl, NaBr, Na3PO4, and Na2SO4 in mixtures of C16BCl and SDBS suggests that salt counterions have a considerable impact on CMC1 when either surfactant is in excess. Zeta potential (ζ) measurements provide more evidence in favor of these observations. The thermodn. features of micellization have also been scrutinized using isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC).
