The Article related to hydrophilic polyphenylene sulfone membrane, Plastics Fabrication and Uses: Plastic Product Uses and other aspects.Electric Literature of 80-07-9

On November 1, 2020, Gronwald, Oliver; Frost, Inga; Ulbricht, Mathias; Kouchaki Shalmani, Arman; Panglisch, Stefan; Gruenig, Lara; Handge, Ulrich A.; Abetz, Volker; Heijnen, Martin; Weber, Martin published an article.Electric Literature of 80-07-9 The title of the article was Hydrophilic poly(phenylene sulfone) membranes for ultrafiltration. And the article contained the following:

Poly(alkylene oxide) based tri- and multiblock oligomers with hydrophobic poly(phenylene sulfone) blocks were evaluated as dope solution additives used for preparation of improved poly(phenylene sulfone) (PPSU) flat sheet (FS) and single bore (SB) ultrafiltration membranes by non-solvent induced phase separation (NIPS). Identical polymer dope recipes were used in both of FS membrane preparation and SB fiber spinning processes. PPSU membranes modified with 9.2 wt % Pluronic F127 based additive, M2 (7.5 kDa PPSU/ Pluronic F127), or Lutensol AT80 based additive, T2 (7.5 kDa PPSU/ Lutensol AT80), displayed compared to pristine PPSU membranes elevated hydraulic permeance ranging from 485 to 674 kg m-2 bar-1h-1 (pristine PPSU: 310 – 464 kg m-2 bar-1h-1), higher mol. weight cut-off values from 37.0 to 53.5 kDa (pristine PPSU: 21.4 – 23.7 kDa), lower contact angles of 46.4° and 49.8° (pristine PPSU: 86.7°) and reduced fouling propensity with irreversible fouling values of 10% (pristine PPSU: 15%) for diluted potting soil extract as model substance. The combined anal. methods of XPS and proton NMR spectroscopy (1H NMR) indicated modest surface enrichment of the additives in the filtration layer. Consequently, PPSU ultrafiltration membranes modified with additives T2 and M2 provide interesting alternatives to poly(ether sulfone) (PESU) and poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) based membranes for surface water filtration combining both excellent filtration characteristics with a long lifetime due to its higher chem. resistance. The experimental process involved the reaction of 4,4′-Sulfonylbis(chlorobenzene)(cas: 80-07-9).Electric Literature of 80-07-9

The Article related to forensic methorphan menthyl chloroformate stereochem, Toxicology: Forensic Chemistry (Including Analysis) and other aspects.Product Details of 14602-86-9

On November 30, 2012, Koo, Christina; Cox, Matthew; Klass, Gunter; Johnston, Martin published an article.Product Details of 14602-86-9 The title of the article was Stereochemical analysis of methorphan using (-)-menthyl chloroformate. And the article contained the following:

Forensic laboratories around the world have seen an increase in the number of drug seizures containing methorphan. Levomethorphan is a narcotic and a controlled substance, and its enantiomer dextromethorphan is an antitussive agent used in over-the-counter medications. For the forensic anal. of seized drugs containing methorphan, it is important to report the stereochem. composition of the drug. Ideally, a method based on common forensic laboratory instrumentation is desirable. The use of the chiral derivatizing agent (-)-menthyl chloroformate followed by routine gas chromatog.-mass spectrometry anal. of the derivative was shown to successfully determine the stereochem. composition of methorphan. This approach was applied to a street seizure containing methorphan proving that it was pure dextromethorphan. The derivatives of dextro- and levomethorphan were subjected to mass spectroscopic and NMR anal., which confirmed that the structure of the derivatives remained unchanged as a result of the derivatization process. The experimental process involved the reaction of (1R,2S,5R)-2-Isopropyl-5-methylcyclohexyl carbonochloridate(cas: 14602-86-9).Product Details of 14602-86-9

The Article related to polymer morphol gas transport triptycene polysulfone, Plastics Fabrication and Uses: Plastic Product Uses and other aspects.Category: chlorides-buliding-blocks

On May 13, 2022, Corrado, Tanner; Wang, Tao; Huang, Zihan; Aboki, Joseph; Ford, Hunter O.; Schaefer, Jennifer L.; Guo, Ruilan published an article.Category: chlorides-buliding-blocks The title of the article was Polymer Morphological Effect on Gas Transport within Triptycene-Based Polysulfones. And the article contained the following:

In this study, the effect of polymer morphol. on chain packing and phys. and gas transport properties was explored via the creation and study of three polysulfone copolymer membranes-a random copolymer, 15k-15k (g/mol) multiblock copolymer, and polymer phys. blend-each containing a 50:50 mol equiv of triptycene and phenolphthalein bridging units. These polysulfones with varied morphologies were directly compared to each other, as well as to their relevant triptycene- and phenolphthalein-based polysulfone homopolymer counterparts. Each polysulfone containing equivalent amounts of triptycene and phenolphthalein exhibited similar phys. properties, densities, and fractional free volume results regardless of combination method. Similarly, gas permeation data followed an expected trend of performance between that of the two homopolymers for H2/CH4 and O2/N2 separations Uniquely, the random copolymer exhibited unexpected suppression of methane permeability and, to a lesser extent, nitrogen permeability, leading to the highest selectivities for CO2/CH4 and CO2/N2 among the series. This can likely be attributed to the greater abundance of triptycene and phenolphthalein units in close proximity along the polymer backbone in the random copolymer, leading to synergistic performance effects from different inter- and intrachain interactions unattainable in the multiblock, phys. blend, and homopolymers. The experimental process involved the reaction of 4,4′-Sulfonylbis(chlorobenzene)(cas: 80-07-9).Category: chlorides-buliding-blocks

The Article related to polyarylene thioether sulfone sulfonated nanofiltration membrane, Plastics Fabrication and Uses: Plastic Product Uses and other aspects.Recommanded Product: 4,4′-Sulfonylbis(chlorobenzene)

On August 1, 2020, Jin, Pengrui; Yuan, Shushan; Zhang, Gang; Zhu, Junyong; Zheng, Junfeng; Luis, Patricia; Van der Bruggen, Bart published an article.Recommanded Product: 4,4′-Sulfonylbis(chlorobenzene) The title of the article was Polyarylene thioether sulfone/sulfonated sulfone nanofiltration membrane with enhancement of rejection and permeability via molecular design. And the article contained the following:

Further improvement of nanofiltration is significantly hindered by the trade-off between the permeability and selectivity. This study proposes a new strategy of significantly improving performance by enhancing the effective membrane area, hydrophilicity, membrane porosity, neg. charges of a membrane, and decreasing pore size through designing a new polyarylene thioether sulfone/sulfonated sulfone (PATS/SS) copolymer. Via copolymerization, thioether (-S-) and sulfonic groups were integrated in one polymer, endowing it with oxidizable properties, in combination with improved hydrophilicity, neg. charges and membrane porosity. Nanofiltration membranes prepared from this copolymer are hydrophilic (contact angle: 69.1°) and neg. charged. After the -S- groups were altered to sulfone (-SO2-) units by a simple oxidization treatment, both hydrophilicity (contact angle: 37.9°) and surface charge were enhanced, rendering improved antifouling properties. Furthermore, the solvent stability of oxidized membranes was significantly improved, maintaining the structure intact even in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) for 24 h. Most importantly, a simultaneous enhancement of rejection (by 85.2%) and permeability (by 105%) of the membrane was observed when applied in nanofiltration for water purification and dye desalination, significantly improving performance compared to currently reported membranes. On November 30, 2021, Nikouei, Mohammad Ali; Mosaffa, Elias; Amiri, Maghsoud published an article.Product Details of 80-07-9 The title of the article was The selection of polyethersulfone/polyvinylpyrrolidone films for industrial application using the multiple-criteria decision-making approach. And the article contained the following:

The polyethersulfone (PES)-based composite polymers have been extensively studied for many years as the core of various scientific activities, such as fuel cell production, water treatment, reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and gas separation, which represent a significant field of research for several applications. In the present study, PES and polyvinylpyrrolidone-coated magnetic core-shell nanoparticles (NPs) are synthesized. Following this, a range of these NPs and PES blend polymers are prepared Then, analyzing methods are used for identification and characterization of a variety of these samples. Since some properties of the samples have been improved, and others are attenuated, the best composition could not be selected from the samples without a logical process. To do so, a multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) technique that considers all the desired parameters is utilized. A MCDM algorithm is applied to create a ranking of alternative properties from the best to the worst, alongside math. calculations which accounts for the relative importance of the criteria. Results have shown that PES film with 15% of polymer-coated NPs presents the best performance based on the desired properties. The Article related to polymeric cryogel macroporous sponge adsorption dye pollutant removal, Plastics Fabrication and Uses: Plastic Product Uses and other aspects.Quality Control of 3-Amino-7-(diethylamino)-5-phenylphenazin-5-ium chloride

On October 5, 2022, Zagni, Chiara; Dattilo, Sandro; Mecca, Tommaso; Gugliuzzo, Chiara; Scamporrino, Andrea A.; Privitera, Vittorio; Puglisi, Roberta; Carola Carroccio, Sabrina published an article.Quality Control of 3-Amino-7-(diethylamino)-5-phenylphenazin-5-ium chloride The title of the article was Single and dual polymeric sponges for emerging pollutants removal. And the article contained the following:

A platform of polymeric cryogels based on methacrylic acid (C-mA) meglumine (C-megl), lysine (C-lys), and 2-hydroxy Et methacrylate (C-ph), as well as a combination thereof having both neg. and pos. charged moieties, have been synthesized and used to efficiently remove emerging contaminants from water. Their peculiar properties in sequestering antibiotics (Levofloxacin, Ampicillin, Doxycycline), anti-inflammatory (Piroxicam), antifungal (Fluconazole), anti-parasite (Moxidectin), pesticides (2,4D) and dyes (Thymol blue, Methylene Violet) were tested taking into account their ionic nature in solution The adsorption experiments performed in batches at different pH and pollutant concentrations have demonstrated the outstanding ability of these macroporous soft systems in complexing mols. by the instauration of various binding forces, also in the presence of inorganic species such as arsenic (as arseniate). In addition, it was demonstrated as the novel dual-material, ad-hoc synthesized by using opposite charge cryogels, can simultaneously remove antagonist dyes in a single and fast cycle. Besides, a quasi-total release of the target mols. was achieved by changing pH, allowing the regeneration of the macroporous sponges for multiple re-uses without losing their performance. The latter peculiar feature may be adopted for drug delivery applications since the release can be modulated and programmed by a specific pH stimulus.
