N-Benzyl-N,N-dimethylhexadecan-1-aminium chloride (cas: 122-18-9) belongs to organic chlorides. Organic chlorides can cause corrosion in pipelines, valves and condensers, and cause catalyst poisoning. The hydrocarbon processing industry (HPI) and others are affected by damage caused by these substances. Alkyl chlorides are versatile building blocks in organic chemistry. While alkyl bromides and iodides are more reactive, alkyl chlorides tend to be less expensive and more readily available.Application of 122-18-9

Phase behavior of mixture of alkyl ether carboxylate surfactants with different cationic surfactants was written by Zhang, Li;Zhang, Weidong;Sha, Ou;Li, Yingcheng. And the article was included in Huaxue Fanying Gongcheng Yu Gongyi in 2020.Application of 122-18-9 The following contents are mentioned in the article:

The phase behavior of alkyl ether carboxylate surfactants with cationic surfactant was studied. The effects of anionic surfactant structure, molar ratio, salinity and group number of polyether on the phase behavior of the anionic-cationic complex system were investigated by the phase behavior experiment The optimum salinities were found out for the different mixtures as 30 g/L, 100 g/L and 200 g/L. The critical micelle concentration (CMC) and surface tension of anionic surfactants, cationic surfactants and the mixture of anionic-cationic surfactants were tested. The results showed that these mixtures produced ultralow CMC (2 mg/L), low surface tension (32 mN/m), and high oil solubilization parameter (SP=12). The experiment results were possibly useful in developing new mixture of anionic/cationic surfactant used for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) application in different reservoir in the future. This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as N-Benzyl-N,N-dimethylhexadecan-1-aminium chloride (cas: 122-18-9Application of 122-18-9).
