On July 1, 2003, Friedman, Arthur J. published a patent.SDS of cas: 4569-86-2 The title of the patent was Method of detecting reducing sugars by using phenazines as colorimetric indicators.. And the patent contained the following:
A method for detecting reducing sugars in samples using a test reagent containing an indicator capable of producing calorimetric changes when contacted with reducing sugars. Under alk. conditions, reducing sugars present in a sample affect a reduction of the indicator to a colorless or differently colored reduced form. The method may include the addnl. step of pretreating the sample with a glycosidase to convert non-reducing sugars to reducing sugars. The experimental process involved the reaction of 3-Amino-7-(diethylamino)-5-phenylphenazin-5-ium chloride(cas: 4569-86-2).SDS of cas: 4569-86-2
