In this work, the development of a highly optimized method for generating the quaternary stereogenic centers in β-keto esters I (R = Me, i-Pr, t-Bu; R1 = H, 2-Me, 3-Me, 4-Me, 4-Cl; R2 = R3 = H; R2R3 = -CH=CH-CH=CH-) was presented.
